As the title says, the spray that is supposed to help with Nembutal doesn't do anything really. I tried it out today because I got the spray a couple of days ago and I could taste very clearly what I was drinking. My mouth felt a bit numb and eating feels weird but the taste of all of the drinks came through. And if N really tastes as badly as people say, I doubt it's gonna make it any easier. I guess mixing it with something very sweet and strong is the alternative now.

Do not mix it with anything, it won't do anything but make that sweet liquid taste dreadful, which means you'll have to simply drink more of the bitter liquid.

It may also mess with the potency (Even if it doesn't, don't take such a risk)
Dignitas patients drink 50ml mixed with 15g of sodium pentobarbital - they beg for the water after they drink it - We must drink 200ml - Four times the amount.

It's daunting at best. But I think its worth it to experience the 'falling asleep while cuddling my pillow' desire I crave from my last moments.

That's too bad I thought it would work. Don't mix N, you'll just increase the amount of foul tasting liquid that you have to swallow.

pH sodium pentobarbital is around 9, so if you can adjust that to 7 (neutral), 'maybe' the funny taste will be gone (tasteless). pH 9 (alkaline) mix it with something acidic until pH 7. It works for me, pH 4 adjusted to pH 7, try it with benzy (less numbing power to lidocaine) and the taste is 100% just like water ! What I'm saying is that sometimes numbing agents didn't work cause pH isn't neutral, worth a shot :)

Why not just sugar? Syrup is just sugar + liquid so just skip the additional liquid part (less additional volume).

That's what I plan to do, or better just down it quick straight followed by something sweet (chocolate or liquer....)

I think that if changing the pH would change the taste it would already be mentioned somewhere by the people giving all the instructions for use. Instead they say to mask the taste with something sweet.

"The pH is adjusted to approximately 9.5 with hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide"

Fyi, Hcl is hydrochloric acid and NaOH is sodium hydroxide (alkaline)

Just take small sample (10 ml), neutralize the pH, and try it with lidocaine.

I'll never say it will work ! It works for me, maybe it works for you, who knows ?

It is not that simple. Can also change the properties. Please do not give out false info about diy changing pH levels in drug solution.

The problem is the taste itself in the tongue or how it downs your throat too?

I recommended a guy wrapping his tongue with something so tastes can pass to the tongue but he said it's unpleasant feeling it and descending in the throat.

What is the closest taste that you could compare it to?

I remember being able to swallow more than 100ml of strong vodka in a shot once, despite finding it repulsive, just for 'fun' with friends. Very bitter and burning like hell (I very rarely drink, and only sweet, soft things).

I can't speak for everyone, but I think it's a problem that can be overcome, if you are motivated enough. At least N shouldn't have the burning of alcohol.

Maybe one could try with an artificial sweetener. They are very potent. Few drops equal to a spoonful of sugar.

I was the one who suggested lidocaine spray.

Sorry it doesn't work but I have another possible way around it, what if you administer the nembutal intravenously? I think it can be done. You just need to purchase a hypodermic needle from your pharmacy or online. You won't get to taste the bad stuff.

Yeah, except you have to know how to get it in there and also not to inject bubbles into the vein. And also the nembutal is probably for oral use so there might be stuff added so that it really hurts etc. Would not recommend

I wish people would stop giving "medical advice"!

You cannot give yourself IV nembutal. With IV it works instantly (not like oral ingestion) and you would NOT have time to inject 200ml, so you would end up passing out with a sub-lethal dose.

Is it advised against mixing? If not, then surely just scoops of sugar mixed in would help? Assuming you can just counter the bitterness with something really really sweet.

Yes, you can counter the bitterness with sugar. It will still taste bitter, just not as bad.

I don't think mixing is an issue. Sugar would be good but i think syrup might be a lot better because it also adds flavor to the whole mix.

But does N burn like strong spirits (vodka, whisky)?

I just recently realized it should contain a certain amount of alcohol.

It's true, pph says n in acidic will be not lethal, so you have to keep it base. But i belive not all drugs.

You can use iv on n, but use dripping saline bag, if you're ready just open the valve yourself. I watch it on YouTube, don't remember the title though.

@tearsinrain I didn't want to DM this question as I thought others would want to know as well.
Is there a way to decant/reduce the amount of alcohol the SP is suspended in so that one wouldn't need to drink all 200ml?
I'm going to guess you couldn't boil the alcohol off without compromising the active ingredient?

Also, something tells me that the 40% alcohol isn't exactly smooth.
