Question for EU Gun CTB Enthusiasts

I see a lot of people from the EU, particularly Germany, lamenting about the lack of access to guns for CTB.

I just looked up and found out that Austria is pretty gun friendly and a EU citizen can get a shotgun without acquiring a permit or having to pass an exam. Even for a handgun the process seems easier than Czech, where you have to pass a test in Czech language.

Whats stopping you guys from making this move ? Money ?? Or Am I missing something ?

You can help yourself out and additionally may be help out a non EU citizen like me in acquiring a gun.

Austria made my gun and the most popular handgun in America (as far as I know). I bought a Glock, which is made in Austria. And I think you can buy a handgun in Austria, you just need a license. And they even have concealed carry, but I think you need to prove a reason or threat against you to be able to carry a gun out and about. But yeah, Glocks are super popular in America, most police forces carry them, and they're all made in Austria.

Yeah but you can't go back to your own country without it being confiscated PLUS most EU countries (At least mine is) you can't even legally carry a gun even police officers cannot carry it without being on duty and even then it's highly restricted unless you're a hunter who has a license, is in a gun club, has permit, a certain amount of age I believe 25+ and I believe hasn't committed any crime or violent ones at that

Oh and I forgot to mention as a hunter I believe you can only carry specific shotguns designed for hunting NOT pistols or any other type of gun (Only police can carry pistols)

The laws have changed since a mass shooting last year. The age limit has been raised; you have to pass a psychological test to obtain a gun permit (or something similar); you have to wait longer before you can take possession of the gun you purchased; and, as far as I know, unless you are a hunter or a sport shooter, you are allowed to purchase "only" a shotgun.

Certain EU countries do this especially after the terrorists that exploded themselves it's regulation for them to avoid this ever happening again and my country specifically usually catches a lot of smuggled drugs so yeah If they found a gun and especially one without a permit or license they're going to confiscate it... I don't think they will say "Go on sir and have a nice day and I hope you shoot no one here" xD

Mind you in France for example they have armed soldiers or policeman just in case anyone resists...
