Well all I would say to her posts is...Thanks for making me use up some of my extremely finite resources worrying about you @Harriet. I was worried you might have a very triggering appointment to go through that a lot of us really struggle to deal with. Be that benefits or psychiatrist appointments. All this to fool people like me and others that actually might care about the person you pretended to be. It occupied my thoughts a lot and I was hoping that the outcome wouldn't be as severe as you thought it might be. Also the worry that this brought up about similar situations I might have to deal with too in the future. I really feel like you have abused mine and others humanity. I sincerely hope you won't find a way back into these forums.

@Flippy Sorry you were on the receiving end of this. I love your posts and your contribution to the site. Can't always write much. Take care

Well they want to "talk" so bad. They all "talk", but nothing improves in society. The same arrogant fuck faces push people to suicide.

At school, at work, at home.

Throwing people into a jail cell isn't going to stop anybody from committing suicide. By any means in general.

Making people pay a fine for knowing about it still will not stop another person from committing suicide.

"Mental health" facilities are so fucking stupid.
Here's a coloring book. If you pop this pill, your life won't change. It won't change the guy harassing you at work, the mother harassing you, the person burning your bridges, it won't stop a man from raping you and dragging you back and trying to rape a baby into you, it won't change your shitty roommate who stole from you, it won't change the shitty employer lying about you and trying to keep you stuck in abuse. It won't stop anything. It won't stop a shitty society from being a shitty society. It won't stop a stalker from stalking. It won't stop a creep from creeping. It won't stop a sex pest from pestering.

It won't stop invasiveness. It won't stop anybody from their little fuckin "game."

I ended up joining after reading the article specifically because I thought the article was bullshit and this sounds exactly like the kind of place that needs to exist - judgement free zone. People keep saying there's "resources" for suicidal people but literally everything I've seen in the past either involves the cops showing up to your door and/or going into massive medical debt being forced into inadequate short term mental health care that loads you up with pills to zombie you and then lets you go, at least in the US. These people think they're being so brave and helpful when they're just ruining actually helpful resources and demonizing people who want to be in control of their own lives.

Just my two cents as a newbie of course, but it's super frustrating to see.

Yeah. Just heard it. She basically laughed at them repeatedly and said there's no chance anyone is liable or that 230 is changing. She also sounded bored.
Kara Swisher was clearly irritated to have to talk to a wannabe like Gabriel dance about the internet. What a joke.

How could the NYT do such a cruel thing,
how could they be so insensitive.

I feel for the families who lost their love ones
but I feel more for the ones that were so desperate
that they decided to end it all.

The NYT must think they saved lives,
they must think they avoided suffering.
Well, let me tell them, you haven't
all you did is prolong the suffering.
People who want to end it all will always find a way
without this site there will be painful deaths
there will be horrible deaths
Yes, additional and unnecessary suffering for the already desperate
and for their families.

Some of us don't want to carry on living,
I never asked to be born.
I don't want to be in this cruel world
all I want is the option to end my suffering,
end it in a peaceful and painless way.
Clearly that is too much to ask.

Let me tell you NYT
if you think closing this site is a good idea
then you should seek a credible alternative,
an alternative where the ones that are unsure can change their minds
and the ones that are certain can do it safely and peacefully.
Until that alternative is available this place offers exactly that.
This community is our best option, our only option.

Journalism should seek for the truth.
The NYT didn't do that with the article.
What they did was silence the truth.

Not for long they wont - for every news outlet or twitter post about our forum i post my support ss pages so people can at least see the bigger picture of things..

Once again, I will Share my story again, I was on the verge of suicide when I first joined and had everything planned. But once I started to chat with other users I fell less alone, decided to look for help and feel much better now than when I first joined. I owe this to this site and it's amazing mods and creators, many of us were saved here. The thing is more should come forward with that fact. Come forward. I met incredible smart and intelligent users here, we have a laugh sometimes and most times we try to help the newbies and make them feel better and rethink any possible self harm they have in mind. That's the precious help I have encountered here by the help of many of you this is my safe cosy house, my dear SS. .

found this place yesterday, three days trying to find it, thought it had been shut down, was throwing it in when I found it finally. I am still here today. Thanx for this site and you peeps here.
