As I said, I do not advise people on how to do it, and don't want this thread to get off track and turn into a how to do it thread. You have the whole website of resources at your disposal to do your own research and make your own conclusions. This thread is not that.

As a new member I'd like to know where on this website do I go to do the research ?

This is a good post. I used to inform people about this type of stuff whenever it came up in discussions. I had come across the info from some independent research.

nope. The ld-50 for ibuprofen is 636 mg/kg of bodyweight. This means that this is the lethal dose for 50% of the population (presumably the weaker half, like kids and the elderly). So if you're 50 kg or 110 lbs, that's almost 32000 mg.

I have to say, in today's climate it's funny to read, because people voluntarily do multi-day dry-fasting now for health reasons. Some even fasting for longer than 7 days if we are talking about more extreme dry-fasting.
I used to believe this myth ngl, but not anymore. Even had a friend do a 3-day dry-fast not that long ago. I, myself, have only done ~30 hours by accident before, and I also biked some 60km in warm summer weather at the time and felt perfectly fine.

I've done a 3 day dry fast once. Fasting will help heal the body long before it starts to hurt it. The more I read threads like this the more I think it's arguably more of a hassle to try to die than to try to live. But, I don't believe my life is worth living, so I'm stuck.

I will just say that I accidentally overdosed on 2,4 DNP a month or so ago and was in hospital for a few nights and it was absolutely horrible. I have read about people using it as a method in medical literature and it sounded grim. Obviously I didn't take a lethal dose but even a minor OD was extremely unpleasant and if considering this I would strongly advise against it.

I can confirm that diphenhydramine does not work. A few years ago, I had taken 100 pills of 50 mg each and only got bad hallucinations.

I'm glad I read this as that was my exit plan, now to look for other options.

I have a pretty reliable method should I ever decide to catch the train to Willoughby(old Twilight Zone refference)

I have two prescription meds I take for a seizure disorder, one is Phenobarbital. It's a controlled substance, and almost impossible to obtain without a prescription. A one months supply would be 1800mg more than enough to do the job. I doubt I ever will though.

Hey! Not sure if you're still around (hope you are) but I should warn you that 1.8 grams of Phenobarbital (Luminal?) likely won't be enough, the fatal dose is about 5 grams which is in line with the DDMAPh mix dose

I would add Amyl/isobutyl nitrite to this list. I drank 60ml total of amyl/isobutyl nitrite (not the white plastic balls).

Contrary to what has been posted elsewhere it didn't burn my throat or tongue. I initially felt dizzy, weak, start sweating, and at first I felt slightly relaxed but ~30mins the real effects will took place and I began to start feeling nauseous.

I felt my stomach heating up and it started to burn.

I puked copiously, and every time I smelt my breath it just smelt like nitrite which then triggered my gag reflexes (this lasted for days). I puked to the point that black blood came out and continued too afterwards. It was horrible.

The smell of nitrite filled the house and at no point was I unconcious!

I was not able to lie down because it stirred my stomach and sleeping was not an option as the smell of the nitrite was overwhelming. I did not feel like drinking or eating anything for a few days (I drank water anyway).

I don't recommend this for anybody, feeling your stomach burning is not pleasant.

Thank you Willitpass for this post. I think its great you are posting this because the methods you described are not effective, but can still lead to a lot of misery. This way you can hopefully prevent some people from doing that.

In terms of an effective method according to my research full suspension hanging works best, as long as you are uninterrupted for 30 min, and have a strong rope and anchor point.

I will say that CO poisoning was my initial method of choice but after reading about it a lot I am getting the impression there are many things that can go wrong.

Some other things that seem to me quite at risk of not succeeding (but with lasting condition afterwards) are:
- Jumping off below 50 metres (if you land on your feet you could survive)
- Freezing (you lose fingers, toes, even some limbs, but could be found or just survive)

How about 99.9% Nitrogen using a full face mask? That seems to be least painful and peaceful.

Oh no. I'm so sorry that happened and so glad I just read this to deter me of ingesting it... Do you think inhaling it would cause similar failed/painful results?

Every body's tolerance of smells is different but I would highly doubt it would cause a similar experience.
