There are shakes that are like 90% protein and a few grams of carbs, tho...

Oatmeal is low in calories as well...
i know, mine is 5g carbs per serving. Maybe i don't lift enough, I will keep the protein shakes for when i crave sugar. Or when I see that i am losing weight. I had a uncontroable sweet tooth before I started taking protein shakes, turns out a lack of protein causes sugar craving, esp in plant based diets.

I'd say ignore weight and see if you're losing actual strength and vitality. I have no idea how a plant-based diet can give you enough protein without making you gain weight (provided you don't run marathons on the daily). Without shakes this seems suicidal, heh.

Weight gain could be due to development of muscles.
They weigh more than fat.

Plant based proteins - chickpeas, lentils, beans
Fish is a low fat non plant option

Huh, my google skills need improving LOL. On the packages I've bought beans are around 5g and online chickpeas were 3g, guess the source was bad since another source said 19. Amino acid profiles aside, I agree with this to some extent.

Edit: Just saw that the protein amounts that can compete with chicken/fish/meats are from raw beans and shit (which you can't eat). The oatmeal I eat for breakfast has 12g I think.

They are still around 9 when not raw. Nuts also are around 9
But as I've said if you are only doing it to lose body fat then fish is also a good option.

But hey maybe there is a new method

I don't get much protein from diet (around 50g) so it should be fine. I get 100g from shakes. 150g or more is what's recommended for me.

Ah my friend had oatmeal plus 3 protein shakes plus chicken and rice. His muscles were huge but yeah too much
Would be a nice method though as it would look like an accident

Age 48, height about 5' 9" I never asked his weight. When I thought he was getting to drunk once I experimented with picking him up. I could but there was no way I was going to manage any stairs. And I would have had to stop every few steps, about 90kg maybe could be more.

what does joint food look like ? I have never eaten in a pub

Ah, I see now that "joint" isn't the equivalent of the word in my native language I thought it was. Forget about it.
