THIS DOCUMENT DISCUSSES METHODS USED TO IMPROVE THE TASTE ASPECT WHEN USING "N".

IT'S NOT A COMPLETE "N" GUIDE, SO PLEASE DON'T USE IT FOR THAT, SINCE THERE WILL BE MANY THINGS MISSING. IT ONLY DISCUSSES METHODS USED TO IMPROVE THE TASTE ASPECT.
( I MAY WRITE AN OVERALL GUIDE LATER IF TIME PERMITS, BUT NO PROMISES ).

DRAFT ONLY : DON'T RELY ON THIS GUIDE UNTIL SUFFICIENT FEEDBACK HAS BEEN OBTAINED. I'LL TRY TO POST AN UPDATE ONCE WE HAVE ENOUGH FEEDBACK. IF YOU HAVE VALUABLE CHANGES/ADDITIONS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Gathered from points I've seen posted on this site in various places, so thanks to those many contributors….

The general consensus is that the taste of N is quite bad.
A strong aftertaste is usually experienced in the back of the throat.
Discussed below are various approaches to lessen the bad taste and/or get used to dealing with the taste.
However, the taste will likely remain unpleasant to some degree.
You should therefore be mentally prepared to drink something unpleasant.
This should be perfectly achievable, but it will require some mental preparation.
You should be willing to treat it as a medicine, and "get it down".
After drinking, you can eat something to minimise the aftertaste ( see below ).
The good news is you can prepare for and reduce the taste issues by following this document.

You should use an antiemetic to avoid vomiting, as discussed in detail elsewhere.

The higher the volume of liquid being consumed, the more attention is potentially justified on these topics, eg someone consuming 200ml of veterinary liquid N might place more emphasis on these areas than someone consuming 50ml from powdered N.

However, you should avoid worrying excessively and mentally exaggerating the issue, unless you know for certain that you simply cannot handle drinking anything unpleasant.

This document gives extra confidence for those that want to "cover all bases". Don't look at the amount of text here and assume the N protocol must be "hard", it has just been written for those who like to be very thorough. If you're already confident then just pick the parts that suit you.

The approaches discussed below can be combined, as you see fit.

*DISCLAIMER* As always, you need to do your own due diligence to check possible interactions, side effects, etc. Apply your own judgement and take responsibility for your choices and actions, doing your own research where needed. Apply the information intelligently to your case.

================================
"Overall test/practice"
================================
Your "method" will be based on choosing one or more of the "approaches" listed below ( see "Basic" approaches section, and following sections ). Once you've chosen a method you should "test" or "practice" it.

It is recommended to test/practice your method(s), using one of the deliberately bitter "test liquids" below, or using a *very* small quantity of N, to make the test more "realistic". If you have liquid veterinary N, the peaceful pill handbook explains how to extract a small test quantity of N that could be used for this.

Alternatively you could just use water, although that might be an inferior test. You may even wish to test using one of the bitter "test liquids" then test again using the very small quantity of N, for extra thoroughness.
You should aim to do the tests at a realistic drinking speed (see "Speed practice" notes below).
The test(s) will allow you to confirm you can follow your method smoothly and drink the liquid successfully, which will give you confidence in your chosen method.

Example : If you have decided that your method is to mix something sweet with the liquid, coat the mouth with honey, use the benzocaine spray, and eat chocolate after drinking, then you would do all of those things, and do a "test run" ( using the test liquids or very small quantity of N, or water, as explained above ). If you found it was hard to swallow the liquid after using that spray, then you might decide to re-think your method. If on the other hand the test goes smoothly, and you can comfortably drink the liquid at the required speed, then you might conclude that your chosen method is right for you.

================================
"Basic" approaches :
================================
-----------------------------------------------------
[ "recommended" ]
Before drinking, coat mouth thoroughly with honey, or just take 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey
eg use pure liquid honey
-----------------------------------------------------
[ "recommended" ]
Eat chocolate and/or alcohol immediately after drinking.
eg Chocolate peppermint sweet(s), Baileys Original Irish Cream, etc
-----------------------------------------------------
[ "recommended" ]
Mix something sweet in with the liquid, eg pure / simple syrup (eg grenadine or online recipes with sugar or honey) / sugar / maple syrup / peach or apricot nectar
It's probably best to avoid anything that increases the volume too much ( such as orange juice ), since you'll have a lot more of a still-unpleasant liquid to drink, plus excessive dilution may lessen effectiveness.
A concentrated and sweet syrup should be ideal, needing only a small amount to be added.
To test your sweetening method, use one of the "test liquids" below, or use a *very* small quantity of N.

note : If you're already using the recommended honey approach above, then this additional sweetening approach might not be needed, however you might still decide to use it, for a "double effect" and additional confidence, although that still probably won't completely eliminate the unpleasant taste (but it should certainly help).
-----------------------------------------------------
Hold nose, or put cotton wool balls in nose, while drinking, so you don't have to smell the liquid, which should lessen the taste experience
-----------------------------------------------------
Drink using a straw
This should reduce the amount of contact the liquid has with the mouth and tongue
-----------------------------------------------------

================================
"Further" approaches (if you want to go a step further)
================================
-----------------------------------------------------
Topical anaesthetic like benzocaine spray (e.g. "Ultra Chloraseptic") or lidocaine (darknet). Use to coat mouth, tongue and throat. ( Could also snort a little lidocaine powder, numbing sense of smell ).
-----------------------------------------------------
Bottle of 20% Benzocaine liquid (brand "Anbesol") at grocery store. Swish capful in mouth and spit out. Should be no feeling left in mouth. Someone tested on 200ml of foul tasting supplement, was able to swallow with ease.
-----------------------------------------------------
Strong mouth wash (don't dilute, hold in mouth until nose runs and eyes water). When tongue is numb, drink liquid
-----------------------------------------------------
Lay ice cube on back of tongue to sedate taste buds.
-----------------------------------------------------
Use small funnel so it doesn't touch your tongue
-----------------------------------------------------

================================
"Bitter taste/drinking practice"
================================
One of these can be done to get accustomed to bitter tastes :
Let panadol powder / paracetamol / aspirin tablets / melt on tongue
Chew paracetamol or ibuprofen
Chew Codeine Phosphate tablets
Drink any of the "test liquids" below

================================
"Speed practice"
================================
Practise drinking the volume of liquid you will be drinking when you are drinking the N for real.
For this you would use water or ideally one of the "test liquids" - see below.

Aim for "25ml per gulp" (eg 8 gulps if drinking 200ml, or 2 gulps if drinking 50ml) and aim to drink it all in 30 or 40 seconds, or faster if you can do so while remaining composed.
This should ensure you'll be able to quell the aftertaste in good time, and drink all the liquid before falling asleep.

Note : For reasons that are hopefully very obvious, you *cannot* use "N" for this speed practice, since you'll be drinking a full amount of liquid.
-----------------------------------------------------

================================
"Test liquids"
================================
During "testing/practice" (see above), one of these bitter liquids can be used in place of N, to "simulate" the N, to try to get a more realistic test (to determine if the sweetening is working, or check if you can handle bitter liquids). Alternatively, just pick any bitter liquid you happen to have available.
Note : You'll need to check how safe the liquid you choose is for you to use.

[ IF POSSIBLE, WE'LL UPDATE THIS SECTION TO GIVE SOME HINTS ON WHICH ONE TO PICK, ETC, BUT FOR NOW YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE THAT CHOICE YOURSELF. ANY SUGGESTIONS IN THAT REGARD MOST WELCOME (PLEASE).
ALSO, IF SOMEONE WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST A RANKING OF THESE IN ORDER OF MOST BITTER FIRST (OR ADD ANY, ETC), THEN PLEASE SEND ME SUGGESTIONS ]

Calea Z tea
Tylenol or Benadryl
Valerian tea
Nyquil
Buckleys cough medicine
Strong liqour (eg 40 percent alcohol content) : obviously exercise caution if using this
Bitter soda
Bitter digestive enzymes
Apple cider vinegar

Excellent guide/post!

*Small tip. Indirectly related to the taste.

Put the N. in a cocktail shaker. This way you don't have to switch bottles and you can focus completely on drinking.
You'll also have a firmer grip (both hands) in case your hands are shaking because of nerves.
And if you do spit something out because of the taste, you're less likely to spill much since it's easier to spit something back into a shaker than into a bottle or a glass.

I did come across that post when compiling up the info, but it didn't strike me as a "must have" item for the guide.....
There's always a judgement call to be made about what to include and what not to, since the guide could potentially become huge and bloated if you try to include "everything" and everyone's ideas....

So for now, I'm not too sure if I want to include that.....
Having said that, if several people were convinced that it is a "top tip" then I would likely change my mind......
So you could always go and drum up support if you wish !!

With any article or document, etc, you have to have someone having a final say, to keep the document length manageable, so I hope you aren't too offended by my current stance.....

But like I said, feel free to drum up support, and convince me otherwise.....

certainly straight apple cider vinegar is a bad idea. It can cause throat burns and can have adverse drug interactions for people taking insulin, digoxin and certain diuretics. The max recommended is 30ml (around 1oz) taken in water and you should rinse your mouth out after drinking it as it is an acid and can have an (granted marginal if you're only doing it a few times but just to be safe) effect on tooth enamel.
The up side is you may be one of those who just don't get on with apple cider vinegar and after you take it you'll feel sick.

I'm not too sure why you would think I was trying to "put you in your place".
You made a suggestion which I wasn't sure that I wanted to use, so I felt it was good manners to explain my rationale....
However, my view might be wrong, so I was trying to say that if several people think your suggestion is a good one then I would probably change my view....

Good grief! all this hullabaloo about the taste yet AGAIN! None of this is in the ppeh and 6 people from Exit drank the N down without a problem. I was on the phone with 3 of them and they were asleep so fast they didn't even have time to bother about the taste. Numb the tongue beforehand with a strong mouthwash or alcohol. That's all that's needed and they didn't even do that. One said, "That wasn't so bad" and she was asleep 3 minutes later. This is much ado about nothing!

Well, everyone is different.
Some people worry about the taste...
Even if that worry is unfounded, it is still a source of anxiety...
This guide will help put people's minds at rest....
Some people may genuinely struggle with the taste, so for those people this guide may help in a more significant way...

"To each their own", as they say....

i was wondering @jgm63

have you tested N yourself? i ask because some people have described it as very bitter and caustic but definitely doable, plus i've seen no reports of people vomiting after ingesting it.

still, amazing resources that you have compiled here and hopefuly (if i get acces to N) will be of use in the future.

No, I haven't had any experience of it as yet....

The consensus seems to be that provided you take the anti-emetic, vomiting shouldn't be an issue...

Glad you found it helpful.

I've posted this elsewhere, but I wanted to add this to this master post.

If you truly are afraid of the taste (perhaps to the point where you are afraid you can't drink it all), you can use a feeding tube directly into your stomach.

This is a video of a bulimic girl using a similar (NSFW - Vomiting): https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...to-bypass-the-foul-taste-of-any-liquid.26817/

It could be overkill, but it'll get the job done with absolute certainty. Just attach a funnel to the top of the tube; yes, it'll be a similar technique to getting your stomach pumped.

With enough practice, as your gag reflex becomes desensitized, you won't feel a thing anymore.

exit switzerland showed last night a documentary about euthanasia in Switzerland. they also reported on the training as a dying companion. In this documentation, Exit Switzerland has said that it happens that people vomit after drinking N. important is to stay calm. the dose has always been enough to die (15g) no need to drinking more N in the case of vomit. I am aware that Exit Switzerland use powder. Maybe it helps someone to know that vomiting does not always mean failure. Vomiting is not a rarity after drinking N. Even when you take EM before.

Apple cider vinegar
Great ideas and content. I would only say that apple cider vinegar would be a horrible test liquid as a single shot glass of it (without a fast water chaser) can cause burns to the throat, ACV is much more on the Acidic side of taste than the bitter side. If drinking N is like drinking 200ml of Asprin. I could handle that. I am used to chewing asprin and excedrin because I have trouble swallowing pills.

Thank you for your work on this document.

Well there are some listed above, but I don't really know which is best...
I suppose the worse it tastes the better in terms of getting prepared.

Perhaps :
Tylenol or Benadryl or Nytol
Buckleys cough medicine
Turmeric (mixed in water)
Chlorella (mixed in water)
Turmeric and Chlorella (mixed in water)

If you come up with any additional ideas, or if you can verify that one of the options worked well, then let us know....

Maybe just practice 2 or 3 times, so you gain confidence you can drink an unpleasant liquid when needed.
Or if your first test goes well that might be all you need.
If you overdo it then you might develop an aversion or mental block, whereas it's probably not that bad on a more one-off basis.

You're taking that as an addition to metoclopramide, right ?
The recommendation seems to be between 8 and 16mg, so I would choose something depending upon your physical size.

Here actually. Directly from pph provided by @realjunes

@Asta has suggested that a good example of a "strong mouth wash" (if you were considering that option) would be "Botot".
She states "makes it nearly impossible to taste anything".

================================
"Overall test/practice"
================================

================================
"Basic" approaches :
================================

================================
"Further" approaches (if you want to go a step further)
================================
-----------------------------------------------------
Topical anaesthetic like benzocaine spray (e.g. "Ultra Chloraseptic") or lidocaine (darknet). Use to coat mouth, tongue and throat. ( Could also snort a little lidocaine powder, numbing sense of smell ).
-----------------------------------------------------
Bottle of 20% Benzocaine liquid (brand "Anbesol") at grocery store. Swish capful in mouth and spit out. Should be no feeling left in mouth. Someone tested on 200ml of foul tasting supplement, was able to swallow with ease.
-----------------------------------------------------
Strong mouth wash (don't dilute, hold in mouth until nose runs and eyes water). When tongue is numb, drink liquid
-----------------------------------------------------
Lay ice cube on back of tongue to sedate taste buds.
-----------------------------------------------------
Use small funnel so it doesn't touch your tongue
-----------------------------------------------------

================================
"Bitter taste/drinking practice"
================================
One of these can be done to get accustomed to bitter tastes :
Let panadol powder / paracetamol / aspirin tablets / melt on tongue
Chew paracetamol or ibuprofen
Chew Codeine Phosphate tablets
Drink any of the "test liquids" below

================================
"Speed practice"
================================

================================
"Test liquids"
================================

For practicing using the Tylenol or Benadryl "test liquid" would you just crush up the tylenol or benadryl tablets into powder and mix it with water? If so, how many tablets to how much water?

Tongkat Ali, also known as LongJack, extract powder is a herbal supplement derived from the root of a Southeast Asian tree. It can be easily acquired online and is safe to consume, even up to a couple grams at once (occasionally)
It is known to be very bitter and taste extremely disgusting. Just mix a couple hundred milligrams with water and swallow.
Most people agree it's one of the most awful substance to experience. It is somehow persistent and distracts the mind for some time.

Another supplement to serve as a trial substitute, Horny Goat Weed? a traditional chinese herbal medicine. It is also very bitter and nasty, just a little less than Tongkat Ali imho. Also, be warned it can bring some unwelcomed side effects (mood changes, racing heart, more) at larger doses this time, so respect the intake recommendations here.

It's not uncommon that people following a regimen of these prefer to encapsulate the supplements for consumption. If you can overcome Tongkat Ali / HGW naked without being prone to vomit, it's likely a good sign you're hard against triggering a reaction in the first place.
Gag reflex from stress or poison rejection remain something else!

Botot numbing does very little. The most you'll feel is a burning sensation that can be distressful by itself if the concentration is too high / water dillution too little. The tongue will feel abrasive at best, not disguising much of the taste at all following up

Much straight forward. It is worth to notice an alternate way to proceed.
https://exit-romandie.ch/films-livres-exit/ second video of this webpage, at the 49:30 mark, depicting an official N exit from one of the swiss associations there.
The assistant simply advises the patient to drink some of the alcohol (whisky here) not only after the N intake, but also just before, specifically to cover the bitter taste of N as she announces it.

From observation, the woman sips the whisky first and does seem disturbed by the taste of it, making faces and disgust noises. She then drinks N fully without expressing a reaction, not complaining. This describes once again that the N anticipation factor remains mostly a myth.

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/im-back-sn-overdose-3-month-update.31377/
If you read that user experience about SN, it shows a sharp contrast versus that previous video. He says to be familiar with strong alcohol, yet he felt the SN ingestion was worse to go through. If at all, it draws the attention that the SN taste needs more attention / research to fight than N, from the descriptions that pop up, or so it seems

I have the same question as thereset. For the tylenol "test liquid" do you you just crush up some tylenol tablets and mix it with water? Also, how many tablets to how much water?

Not too sure really. This page consists of "supplementary" material. It's not really a well defined protocol. I think a certain amount of improvisation will be needed.
However, feel free to share any information you figure out that seems to work well, etc...
