I'm not just talking about the Forum. I'm talking about in general. If you help people and you show people love there's going to be people that remember that and they will do the same for you. It won't always happen that way but a majority of the time it will. I've been homeless on and off for 10 years. Without completely giving my entire self away because I still had to take care of me at the end of the day I used to try to help as many people as I could. There was one guy that became homeless and I hooked him up with some of the stuff he needed and showed him to the resources around the city and showed him the loops. He ended up getting off the streets and letting me come stay in his apartment with him when he got off the streets. That's just a small example.
But anyway I see where you're coming from and I accept your perspective on things. Everyone has a different philosophy and perspective. You can't go around trying to help everyone and be a people pleaser though because it'll just leave you stripped in the end. I've just learned that what I give I get in return. That's how I made it when I was on the streets if I had extra I would give it and whenever I didn't have it I would receive it in return from people who had given it to previously. Not everyone though but that's the thing I never expected anything in return When I gave I did so because I wanted to.

I myself have made many suicide attempts from my teen years until present day. Maybe we're all still here in this forum because we weren't that great at killing ourselves. Let's marvel at that.
