I was browsing the forum today. And I read posts of members that once were pretty active on here. I read the profile of a member and the person posted a real life picture of themselves some months before disappearing. I can remember someone posted a childhood photo of them prior to their suicide.
It is still very rare to see the faces on memers on here. Even though, there was this infamous "Post your face" thread. I think it was deleted eventually.
I would highly advice against posting your face on here. No matter what.
But I was surprised to see the face of this young good looking man. He was younger than expected.
I liked this member a lot. And he described himself as a very bitter and resentful person who was in so much pain.
I am not sure what my thoughts would have been if I saw his face without all the information I have about them. I think the person also hated their outer appearance. Or at least didn't like it. But in this case I think this wasn't necessary. Even though, I think I myself look somewhat good but still suffer from insecurities. Self-loathing can feel appropriate on every issue I know this as a problem.
I wonder what happened to this member. And I am not the only person that asked themselve this question.
When I look at his picture I think of a young, intelligent, self-reflective maybe a little bit introverted young man. Maybe you can see in his face that he suffered a lot. Or in his eyes. But maybe that's too much reading of his mind.
I have say one thing. I absolutely don't see bitterness or resentment in this picture. I rather think of self-reflection and self-awareness. But I also can relate self-awareness and self-hatred can go hand in hand.
Can you remember seeing the faces of SaSu members? And whether the notion was different to the reality?
