I am a rock. I am an island

Around Monday night I decided to try DMT for the first time. I'm not much of a drug guy, I dont care about feeling hogh or energized or a rush. I'm more interested in hallucinations, which is why I tried Benadryl first about a month and a half ago. Sadly, I never saw all that much on Benadryl, even at around 700mg. It would just make me extremely sleepy.

Disappointed I didn't get to say hello to the Hat Man, I decided to go up a level. I'm too coward to try salvia and end up as a rock next to a tree for a million years or something, so I settled on DMT. Although looking back, it still mightve been a bit too big of a step up. After cutting up a random usb-c cord i had laying around and taping the wires to the end of my cart cause I was too stupid to buy a pen for it as well, I plugged the usb into my desk and took my first hit.

My mindset when it comes to drugs is "I wanna see some shit." And dear Lord did I see some shit. I took a really big and deep breath in. It felt weird and I coughed a lot. My room has it's own bathroom so I tried to blow all the smoke into the vent. Almost immediately, my face felt weird. It felt like my ears had 'opened'. You know when you go swimming or take a shower and you get water in your ears, and the feeling you get when the water finally comes out? Thats kinda what it felt like. I walked over to my bed and layed down. After a bit, my walls or carpet would look a bit squiggly if i focued on it. I could hear faint sounds in my ears and everything had a weird feedback sound to it, like if you put a microphone up to a speaker but not as intense.

I just sat there on my bed, enjoying the feeling. After a little bit, I decided to take another hit. I walked over to my desk, plugged my hotwired cart in, and took a second hit. Everything felt the same, but stronger this time. Worried I would get dizzy and fall, I quickly got back on my bed and layed down. It looked like my walls were moving if I focused on them, like they were sliding and closing in on me. But only slightly. My laptop was still open on my desk with a paused video of vanoss compilations. Whenever I looked over at it, It was like all the details were gone. Just blank, colored shaped gently gliding around the screen.

I enjoyed my squiggly reality for a bit, before deciding to take a third hit. So I got up, took a third hit, coughed in the direction of my bathroom vent, and layed back down. I was pretty spacey at this point. I was just laying in bed staring at the top left corner of my curtain when suddenly, with no warning, everything just turned low quality. Like PS1 graphics or something. the curves on my curtain got sharper, the titles on the spines of my books turned to squiggles. I looked down at my hand and it looked smooth, like it was made of plastic or rubber.

All I could think at the moment was "Oh fuck." I put the cart away in my drawer and layed back down to ride it out. I kept staring at the corner of my curtain when suddenly, everything just hit. I started losing feeling in my body as the line where the wall meets the ceiling began to open up with this constant repeating pattern. everything became a mix of vibrant yellows and greens. I couldnt move anything. Not my body, not my eyes. I think i saw a small head where the ceiling opened up, might've been a baby head but I don't remember.

I don't know how long I layed there, staring into that kaleidoscopic abyss. Eventually when I regained lucidity, I shot up from my bed, breathing heavily. I read online that a DMT trip feels like you're dying, and I came into it with that in mind. But holy fuck. If that's what dying is like, then I can safely say that I absolutely do not want to die anymore.

I was a little bit panicky as I was coming down, not wanting to get pulled from my body like that again. But eventually, I calmed down as it finally wore off. I don't ppan on trying DMT again anytime soon, but if I do, I'm gonna make sure I have at least 2 friends there with me to help remind me that I am in fact not dying.

Spoiler for Vinland Saga: If you've read chapter 154 of the manga, it was kinda like that, but replace the black void with a psychidelic one.

That sounds scary! For what it's worth, if you don't want to die anymore then I suppose that's a good thing. I would never try DMT after knowing what it's like for you, but yet I still want to die. Dying might not even be the same as what you experienced, I don't know for sure. All I can say for sure is that for me, never having been born in the first place would be better than dying. My parents brought me into this world selfishly, knowing I would die, and they did it anyway and I will never forgive them for that.
