i ended up checking myself in after a huge blowout with my partner/family and almost immediately regretted it, but after a day or two i decided to just go with it and it honestly turned out to be good for me. i got really lucky and the staff were super helpful, and the other patients were all really nice. i got on meds and got a bpd diagnosis and for once i feel kind of hopeful? like things still suck and i might still ctb in the future but idk, not for now. i can always just do it again in the future if i change my mind, but for now i want to see if i can be a little happy again.

that's a really good outcome for going to a psych ward. It sounds like you happened to get really nice people.

I'm happy for you
Hope everything will go in a good direction. If you want there are bpd resorces on sasu (pinned thread). I belive there is at least a bpd workbook. And some other good resorces too.

in this thread there are not only therapy types explained but also helpful things like TRE

thank you, i'll do my best <3 i've already had some pretty big ups and downs in the last 24 hours since i got out so i'm giving myself the weekend to relax before i worry about school, bills, etc.

i got really lucky i guess, the people there seemed to genuinely care a lot. there were a few shitty nurses and we supposedly had a really nasty nighttime intake lady but i didn't meet her. there also weren't any shitty patients in the ward i was in so i didn't have to deal with that.
