[Why Me?]

To All those Suffering:

I'm sorry you were born into this unfair narcissistic world...
I'm sorry for all the unnecessary trauma your immediate family may have caused you, making your life even harder than it already was going to be...
I'm sorry that you've had awful luck...
I'm sorry that you have to witness the happiness & contentment of others showing you the life you could have had...
I'm sorry for all the phony people you have encountered in life, that could have made things better for you, but left you disappointed with even more damage...
I'm sorry for all the lame/generic solutions that this world has to offer you, when clearly you need much more help...
I'm sorry for the lies that you were told as a child, saying you can be anything you want to be, when that's not always true...
I'm sorry for all the time you wasted by having faith that things would get better, and making a genuine effort, only for things to get even worse...
I'm sorry that you have suffered and are suffering so much only to now be made to feel like a demon for wanting to end your suffering once and for all...
I'm sorry that when you look into the future you see more years of meaningless suffering that you will be forced to endure...
I'm sorry that no one will ever truly understand what it has been like to walk in your shoes...
I'm sorry that the other side is a mystery that mankind has not yet solved, making things even harder for you...
I'm sorry that you have never received genuine apologies from people which could have took away so much pain...
I'm sorry that you have to come to a so called dark twisted forum like some anonymous weirdo to get some real comfort & understanding without gaslighting...

I'm full of turmoil, so I just thought I'd write this, hope it helps someone. I want this hell to be over so bad...

Damn this was powerful. If it's any consolation I feel it's helped me a little bit. That last line hits like a truck, supposed professionals, family, friends, lovers, all of them will never provide the comfort or understanding I've craved, and it really does feel like I'm being gaslighted into thinking life and reality aren't some tragic cosmic accident, that everything is fine and to get back to work.

I guess in a way we are all just anonymous weirdos on here. But we're also kindred spirits coming to the same place of desperation and pain who understand one another. More comforting and understanding than those important people in our "real lives" and yet still anonymous weirdos. Both meaningful and meaningless.

I find it horrifying how all this endless suffering continues to exist in this world, there are so many people that are trapped in all these awful situations with no real relief as long as they still exist. Life really is such a terrible concept where everything is determined by luck and chance, to me it really would have been better to never exist at all. And yet despite this, it still can be so unnecessarily difficult to be free from this life. I hope that you find the freedom that you are looking for.

This is so comforting. Thank you. I bet I'm feeling the same way as a lot of people here- every one of those sentences rang true. It's not like we can always offer useful advice to one another but just someone saying 'I'm sorry you're going through this' can do so much.

I think it's sincere too. I expect the majority of people here feel a communal sense of sadness and disappointment for each other because we know all too well what it's like to feel like this- even though our reasons may be different.

So let me say- I'm sorry that you are suffering too. No one deserves to be here but I am grateful that we do at least have this place to try and support one another. Big love to you- you obviously have a big heart.
