Just wanted to give a shout out to all the folks here following a live CTB thread, especially for the first time. It seems like there are quite a few.
It can be very rough to stand by - even online - as a friend makes their journey.
Please be careful with yourself for the next day or two. Come here to vent or rant or just to talk if you feel the need.
If it's more than you can handle after a bit, please find someone IRL to talk to. It is not necessary to give them details of the site, methods, or to violate the privacy of the deceased. Just tell them that a friend died and you're having trouble processing it.
If you find that goodbye threads are too difficult for you, that's okay. You are not required to post on them or even read them and no one will think less of you. They're not for everybody.
So many of us are in a difficult state to begin with. Don't forget to take care of yourself, and avoid the things that make your heart and brain hurt too much.
