There was just a story my mother told me and that I read in the news of a dozen people back in Africa in my mothers village who died just 12 hours after drinking home brewed alcohol tainted with methanol.

The biggest risk is surviving and going completely blind but it seems that methanol along with antifreeze (ethylene glycol) are effective ways to die. Combine them with benzos and/or ambien and respiratory depression is ensured
