Just happened yesterday. I'm 23. Finally told my parents that I spent half my childhood feeling suicidal, and we've been fighting nonstop ever since. I've never told anyone that before, IRL.

I was so young I don't remember. I've ALWAYS been disappointed my mother didn't love me. The only thing I did wrong was being born -- and that was not my fault, no matter how many times she blamed me. Sigh. That was a tough one. Haven't thought about just how much she hurt me in a long time.

This evening, as a matter if fact. With my bestest best buddy, my nine-year-old neighbor. She is absolutely adorable and her favorite thing in the world is "being nice to people". I am gonna be crushed when she realizes how cruel this world will be but until then I will pretend with her that the world is a wonderful place, full of wonderful people, all who want to be her friend and be nice to people. God, I couldn't love this kid more if she were my own.
