Discussion how do you guys feel about memory

The topic of memory, what thoughts do y'all have around it
for me, it's a little triggering but that's only because of frustration with PTSD and that my mother will not be able to remember anything in late stages of her disease

but besides that, i wonder what people will remember of me whenever i pass, or when they leave or i leave, stuff like that
and the constant fear that i'm misremembering something, and sometimes i know other people are misremembering things for certain sometimes; but they never believe me when i say they are. That is fair, but it is a bit frustrating, specifically if it's something important. It's okay though.

What do you guys feel/think towards the topic of memory?

I've suffered from insomnia for over a decade now, and lack of sleep kills your braincells, something I already don't have a lot to start with lol.

Anyway, I can never be sure ab what I remember, if someone says I'm wrong then I'll just take their words for it. These days I feel like alzheimer will hit me in my 30s or some shit because boooooi, sometimes I can't even remember wtf ppl told me some minutes ago.

My memory is very accurate in some ways - usually with long-term memories; this can be a blessing because it allows me to recall great events and situations, as well as awesome people who I met, but it can also be a curse because it means that I relive awful times vividly. My memory can also be poor in other ways such as with events that have happened recently.

I document my final days by writtng in my journal, notes on my phone or talking into my dslr, I document all my last thoughts so they can see it all

Nobody will bother to remember someone like me past like a year but I am so fucking scared of being forgotten like all this pointless time being spent here, all for it to be chucked to history and never thought of again. Also if I die then all I will be remembered for is that I killed myself and not all the stuff I've made.
