This thread has genuinely made me smile and at times laugh. Man I love this place as much as I love Hawaiian pizza!

Trappers don't trap bears here anymore, but when bears wander into inhabited areas, they are relocated using traps like this.
Edit: Not a good way to ctb—especially when the trap is occupied:)

I was thinking the same. Some of the threads and comments on here recently have made me laugh so much that I don't want to ctb as much. Ss is a place full of creative intelligent and original people. 8 know it may be wrong to laugh as some folk are in a dark place, but I'm only human. We have recently gone from a chap who's dad wanted to watch him ctb to this thread. If this carries on the authorities will see us as some sort of joke site and leave us alone lol

Haha maybe! I think it's good we can laugh though. I'm in a very dark place myself and even now am hearing voices telling me to do stuff.. but for the moment they're not so loud and I can block them out focusing on this weird conversation about bear traps, pineapple on pizza, burnt yet raw chicken (at least I think it's was chicken haha) and other randomness.. I don't think anyone should ever feel bad for laughing as long as it's not at someone else's expense. I'm just glad I finally had the balls to join here it's making my last few weeks much easier

I'm only guessing, but aren't bear traps designed to trap the bear rather than completely sever their limb? So presumably the force is not going to be enough to properly decapitate someone, and would instead leave you very slowly bleeding out, or even surviving.
