literally just came out of a call w my psychiatrist and he's still inssisting i am bipolar based on literally nothing.
(i am pretty sure i just have pre-menstrual disorder but male doctors are genuinely rtards they try to diagnose every single woman they see w bipolar disorder)
i told him one milion times i have 0 things that line up with bipolar disorder but he just wants to keep this going so i pay for another consultation.

really don't want to change my medication or keep talking about this because he genuinely does not have enough knowledge to diagnose me w bipolar disorder because i see him once a bloodmoon and we talk for 10 minutes max

and even if i am actually diagnosed with bipolar disorder by a doctor that knows what hes doing i would genuinely just kill myself

Fuck i hate talking about myself to people who don't give a shit and don't know anything im so mad i have to expose myself to this idiot just so i can justify missing school because i am depressed
he also told me "Only people with bipolar disorder cut themselves therefore you are bipolar"

If you doubt his competence, then I suggest looking for another psychiatrist if you need to.

Wrong diagnosis are not unheard of in the field of psychiatry.

yeah that was super odd. honestly it just sounded like he was telling me anything to affirm that i am bipolar

honestly the only reason i keep up with him is to get the medication and medical papers to excuse my missing days in school. i never really expected him to try to diagnose me. i don't know how to tell him to shut up and just give me the papers..

male doctors are so fucked. i got diagnosed with bipolar too. sometimes it feels like they just do it off a hunch or because someone's a woman. i know 2 people who have told me their doctor diagnosed them with bipolar and then told them to take medication.

also nonsense. sometimes i think doctors have no idea what mental illness is, even if they're supposed to be a psychiatrist. i don't want to go to a therapist or psychiatrist again because it always feels like i need to prove myself or make them take me seriously.
