Princess Mononoke since my childhood. Second place: Howl's Moving Castle.
But I barely can watch them anymore. The lovestories break my heart. As a kid I always wanted to experience something like that. And I sort of had a crush on Princess Mononoke.

Tales from Earthsea is a very special movie for me, although it's not very appreciated. But my favourite is Ponyo. Both movies' soundtrack is breathtaking.

Basic bitch choice, but Princess Mononoke. Aside of End of Eva, that has to be my favorite anime movie. There's something I find refreshing and interesting about movies, which leave their moral questions very open-ended, while still going through them in very detailed ways. You can definitely read into Miyazakis philosophy while watching. But while not a Ghibli movie, I personally prefer the Nausicaä manga overall, for the same reasons I mentioned for Mononoke.

I liked Only Yesterday the most. And i know you didn't ask, but god dammit I could not for the life of me sit through Earthsea. It completely butchers Le Guins work, although I did like a few of the visual representations of characters and places. Other than that, unwatchable, go read the books, they're really good

Basic choices but Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. They're beloved and acclaimed for a reason! HBO Max now has the stage versions of Spirited Away so I'd like to see those.

I haven't seen them all but I'm rationing them as a reason to keep going. Really excited to see Only Yesterday and Whisper of the Heart.

I loved the romance aspect of Howl's Moving Castle, but my favorite Ghibli movie in general is Spirited Away. The setting is just so fantastical and whimsical—even the darker aspects are drawn in a fantastically delightful manner—that my escapist heart can't help but fall in love. I've even made some headcanons about the movie in my spare time!

Spirited Away is probably one of the first anime I saw with my sister alongside Hamtaro so it's nostalgic

Nausica is my favorite though since I like the heavy influences from Arzach. It's as if the comic got its own animation
