Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I've been absent from this site for quite some time now, drifting in and out at very irregular intervals. Strangely enough, I find that I miss it. I miss a space where my thoughts can be articulated freely and openly, a place where I can vent, reflect, or simply converse. More often than not, I tend to pop in, check on a few members, browse posts and occasionally comment.

Today, however, has been very unkind, and honestly the weekend as a whole has offered me very little reprieve. In an effort to get some comfort, I decided to treat myself to a movie. I finally decided to watch Obsession after seeing many people rave about it online. I must say, it has certainly exceeded my expectations of it! I don't intend to make this a film review so I will not be discussing any details of the film. It left me deeply unsettled by the end and has stuck in my mind all day. If you have the time and ability to watch a movie in a theater, I think you should read the synopsis, see if it sounds interesting, and if it does, watch it.

In any case, I suppose this is my way of saying hello again. I hope everyone here has been doing well.

It was such a good movie. The only thing is it's super strange to see the parasocial relationships people are forming with Inde Navarette lol.

I usually really hate any kind of horror movie, but this one was amazing, loved it

If I may ask, why do you typically hate horror movies?
I don't like being startled or constantly anticipating that a jump scare could happen at any moment (even if it never does). So for me, watching horror movies is usually a really unpleasant experience.

Ah I totally get that. I, too, am not a fan of jump scares. I always check websites (such as WhenJumpscare) beforehand so I know how many to expect and can decide whether I want to watch the movie. I usually push through for movies I think would be good and this one certainly delivered on that front. I'm watching Backrooms tomorrow, and I have equally high expectations, although I've heard from quite a few people that Obsession is the stronger of the two films.
