  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I saw my daughter for what I thought would be the last time. I was alone and mentally ready. I placed some small pill boxes I bought over my carotids and secured them using an exercise elastic band. I applied a tourniquet over it and everything was snug and in place. 3 turns was all that was needed for my vision to fade, I felt pure happiness in this moment as I was passing out. Unfortunately I woke up a few minutes later slumped in my chair with a headache. What had happened was that as I passed out I slumped back on my office chair which caused my head to be pushed forward, which reduced the pressure the tourniquet was applying. Enough blood flow was reaching the brain that I don't have any brain damage luckily. I didn't want to retry because my neck was really hurting and I had a brutal headache.

Some things I learned from this attempt is that you need to pass out in the position you will be resting in; My office chair is not ideal for this. I think I will go for laying in bed next time once my neck isn't so tender. Perhaps I will add in a plastic bag to this method just in case.

That must had been an awful experience going through that failed attempt. Failing sounds so horrifying to me but at least you don't have brain damage. I wish you freedom from all suffering for when the time is right for you to leave this world.

I've read through several medical sources and it seems compression of the carotid artery is extremely difficult. This explains the problems many here have had with the tourniquet or night night method. However, just compressing the veins can get the job done, but it could take up to a minute if not more. In partial hanging you can apply pressure for 20 seconds on the jugular veins and then briefly stand up which causes a siphon effect that knocks you out immediately and you will fall back on the rope. I can't do partial because of my physical limitations. I'm going to try it again this time laying down on my side, head facing down and just enough pressure to make me feel dizzy. I'll give it a few minutes to do it's magic.

I believe the ideal place to be if possible, is on the floor, with a good radius of clear space.
Sorry about your failure. I'm currently in club fail too.
