I attempted FSH yesterday and failed. I neglected to kick the chair far enough away and used it to hold myself up while wrenching the noose from my neck. I deeply regret backing out, but the pain was a 100/10; maybe I'm just sensitive and sheltered, but I truly didn't know the human brain was capable of translating such extreme pain, and I panicked.

How can I make FSH less painful for my next attempt? I understand we're targeting the carotid arteries to cut blood flow from the brain, but the way the noose tightened around my entire neck was unexpectedly violent. Can I use a towel or something to lessen it without jeopardizing the method?

Please, if anyone has experience in this area and knows how to lessen the physical pain without undermining the effectiveness of the method, let me know.

What exactly was painful, the friction? The localised force or the pressure?

It shouldn't be painful as you should pass out in a few secs. I believe the problem was the chair. If you could hold yourself, then you prevented enough pressure on your artery for pass out and just felt pain. If you want to succeed, i'm not recommending it ofc, but you should make sure you have nothing for hold yourself at proximity. But be sure of what you do and what you want, because if you do it right, you will be out in a few seconds and it's over.

Definitely the localized force. I remember the intense pressure of the rope encompassing my neck was incredibly painful and I wanted out ASAP. Is it possible to alleviate that?

Thank you. That's very encouraging. I just need to woman up and get it over with, I think.

Don't let be too forced either, take your time, maybe listen to your favorite music beforehand; alleviate the mental pain and anxiety with a bit alcohol.

I think not stepping into air was main problem as not removing chair from underneath coz it not fully compress carotids and cause pain to make FSH completely painless you need to locate the noose excatly on carotids and pre tight it as much as possible so it don't slip off. next is to kick off the platform as far as possible must be nth to hold on so SI can't mess up

Also if you afraid just count 5-0, don't think abt it and just simply hop off at 0 don't give yourself time to reconsider.i hope you find peace soon
