I can't stand being exhausted anymore. I'm constaly tired, drained. No matter how much coffee, how many sweets, it may last for an hour or so, but fatigue always cralws back to me. The meds to sleep sometimes do their jobs, tiredness still comes though. Every night i wake up several times, restless. I don't know what to do, how to solve this. My head weights, the bags under my eyes grow larger and deeper through the months, seems like needles are piercing my face, my muscles ache, my shoulders ache, it is as if someone was ripping my eyes from their orbits.

I'm tired. I'm so tired. I can deal with the psychological strain, but not with this. Please someone help me.

You don't have narcolepsy, do you? Have you been tested for that or sleep apnea? Have you had bloodwork done to see if you have good vitamin levels? Do you believe that you're only tired because of sleep insomnia?

I second @RoseyBird melatonin and Benadryl, if you haven't already tried it. Valerian root can help some people too.

melatonin is preferable. It will work longer. My son takes it, and he loves it. Benadryl is just an antihistamine that has a drowsy element. It doesn't work on me but it does the vast majority of people. They will both make you more drowsy and help you fall back asleep if you wake, probably.

The generic term for benadryl is diphenhydramine hydrochloride. The generic is much cheaper. It works for me to help get to sleep and stay asleep. I take one 25 mg tablet, and if in 45 minutes I am still awake, I take a second one.
And I second the idea that you may be suffering from sleep apnea. If you have zolpidem and xanax, you have a doctor. Maybe ask to be tested?

definitely going to ask for a test, never considered this possibly but coming to think my grandfather, and I believe my father as well have it. also, turns out I do identify with some of the typical symptoms, my mouth's is always dry when I wake up, my head aches as if I didn't sleep at all... I don't know if I snore though. I think it never really crossed my mind cause I thought only older people had it, I mean, I'm 21. but thanks a lot, maybe that's really the case.

Had a lot of the same problems. My endocrinologist discovered that my hormones are out of whack, and he's been tracking me for the last several years. In particular, my cortisol has been problematic. I had to visit a specialist at the major university to see what he had to say about possible subclinical Cushing Syndrome.

Anyway I found that through an elimination and challenge diet I better identify food intolerances that among other things seemingly are impacting my cortisol, testosterone and a few other hormones.

Highly recommend trying an Elimination Diet for anyone that struggles in these ways. I take the approach that no matter how I feel physically or mentally it's because of something I put inside my mouth. I assume everything I eat or drink is guilty-until-proven-innocent. Believe it or not this has worked wonders for me with most but not all my physical and mental health problems.

Are those medications in that combination not really working for you? It sounds like they might sometimes work to help put you to sleep, but not keep you asleep?

People with chronic obstructive sleep apnea usually completely stop breathing for a relatively long time at a time, many times each time they try to fall asleep, and so they never really get adequate rest.

Wearing a CPAP machine should help a ton for people who have sleep apnea, if they use it and put it on (the mask) before they go to sleep, if they have sleep apnea?

You could try mirtazapine, trazodone, clonidine, seroquel or promethazine.

Phosphatidylserine lowers cortisol.

humm, not really, i already complained about it to the psychiatrist but she didnt actually gave a shit. you are right, they put me to sleep, but do not keep me like that.

it's not every night though that this happens, most of them for sure, but there are times when i actually sleep without waking up all the time, could it still be sleep apnea?
