I sometimes see news of people who are experienced swimmers accidentally drowning in a river or the sea. This is a good example of a recent news story.

I was just wondering, if I try to swim as well for a long time in the sea when it's a bit rough, would that be effective as a suicide method? It could be a good way to mask a suicide as an accident, but I'm not sure what the chances of succeeding are. I imagine Survival Instinct will kick in. What do you think?
