Wouldn't it be easier to buy a mask with a filter for small particles / dust, place the soda lime in a plastic bag (eventually in small filter bags) and wrap the plastic bag around the head? Same concept, only 1 bag with possible leaks.

I was wondering the same thing. From what I've gathered soda lime should be kept away from skin and eyes, because it causes burns when touching the skin (search for "soda lime skin contact"). This could cause an attempt to fail and hurt the person performing the attempt.

I also don't know if the CO2 would come in contact with the soda lime sufficiently. If you exhale through a small container with the soda lime in it, the CO2 is forced to touch the soda lime and thus gets absorbed. If you exhale inside a bag, the CO2 can float around a lot and will not necessarily come in contact with the soda lime at the bag's bottom.

@knowman so far theres only one member that we know of who has tried to ctb with the device. it failed. unfortunately hes gone rogue so we cant determine the cause of the failure. so basically we are stuck at this point. if you have any suggestions by all means please share with us.

I got tracking day 2, but status changes slower. Tracking the BOXC site and USPS finally after it got thru Customs.
From the day I ordered it's Showing 3 total weeks to get this thing, if I do actually receive it on the May 5.

May I ask what the total cost was including shipping?

The debreather is $189 with tax. And i heard shipping was $50 to the US. That was with first carrier.
