I don't think people realise how high up you are on a horse. I'm over 6'2 and just jumping up with one leg is really high. Falling off = something is going to snap or break.
They always have the call Samaritans on any article to do with suicide regardless of whether it was clearly the wishes of the person involved.
Yup, she must have fallen off and paralysed herself. She's lucky though, she was sick enough to travel to Switzerland. I envy her.

Love the essence of her words - Why are people so obsessed with longevity of life? Life should be about being happy even in a short life and not to have a miserable long existence.
At least that person had the freedom to go out peacefully. Some lives turn upside down and not everyone gets lucky like this. If N was sitting in front of me i will drink it like it was orange juice and happily go out

I have the same feeling; this is the statement that resonated with me the most.
I think it is related to some kind of basic programming "more=better" rather than "quality=better."
For example, obesity is a prevailing problem in the world, but most obese people don't seem to care in the slightest. They keep consuming more.
Maybe some people are just short-sighted and cannot reason about long-term consequences...
Maybe this is an instinct that people are not aware of...
I would be interested in exploring this topic further. Could someone expand on it here or recommend some relevant threads?

Dame Esther Rantzen, is blonde and well known for her charity work. Imagine if Shaiq Khan said exactly the same words as her publicly. I'm sure the public reaction would be less favourable.
Hm don't wanna know how many horse's backs she injured on the way up to the top 
. I find this "sport" very, very questionable and yes, it is very dangerous because they pressure horses (a flight animal) to do things they re actually very afraid of by nature.
