I know we are all here for a reason. We all hate our lives and want to end the misery. I just want you to know you don't have to feel this way. Please read before you even attempt anything.

First off I'm in my 30s. I lived a completely lonely and shitty life. To sum it up, no job, no friends, no selfesteem, hated myself, shut myself in, never grew up and now im in a position where I feel like I HAVE to ctb. I was at my lowest, telling myself it's all my fault, I don't deserve happiness, why haven't I ever been loved by god etc.
But then I found something the next day. I found this sub called Nevillegoddard.
Reading posts from this forum made me realize alot of things. We are hard wired to feel like we are useless. No matter what life gives us, a gf, a job, or a hobby, it doesn't change how we feel and think. It's just an escape. But we don't have to be depressed, we don't have to feel useless all the time. We can change. These feelings are called states. A short summary about what Neville teaches and states.
We are in this position because our default state is negativity and depression. No matter how good our day went, we eventually fall back into the state we are most used to. Which is that. It's comforting because we've been in there for so long. I realized a lot of things that happened to me in my life is because I manifested it. I never thought I was good enough for anyone, so I ended up with no one. I thought I was worthless, so I became worthless. I'm not telling you to pick yourself up, go for a walk and life will get better. Definitely not, but before you leave this place, look up Nevillegoddards subreddit, give YOURSELF a real try. Change your default state. Know you are worth it, know you are important, and deserving. Know you can be content. Kill your old man, forgive yourself and move on. Try it. Of course if it doesn't work, it's your option to ctb or not. But why not give yourself a chance first especially if you are young. Even if you aren't!
I wish I had that opportunity. I'd be happy if even one person gives this a try and actually comes out better. Be open minded especially If you think you are at the end of the rope. Hey, you have nothing to lose trying right? I suck at talking so please just take a look at Nevillegoddard. Thanks

From your reddit: "who spoke about about neville's secret classes he held were he manifested a ball or basketball out of thin air and he taught a group of people how to do it at that class."

Your post is inappropriate, selling another type of delusional thinking. I won't even analyse everything that's wrong with it as it would be an essay.

Sounds a little self help guru-ish to me. I'm far from hopeless, as a matter of fact a great deal of us on this forum have had happy lives or at the very least we were content. Choosing to "exit" for some of us isn't about pain or a state of sadness, for a lot of us we just don't want to be here anymore. Kinda like turning off a game you play or leaving a amusement park. I've existed and I've experienced all I care to experience. So ….where's the exit door? Lol. I still got 3 or 4 things left to do on my list.

As for others, I can't speak for all ppl on this site or situation but some are in great physical pain, left to suffer because of a disease or accident and they don't want to suffer anymore. We should support humane rational pro-choice solutions for those that never chose to be put in such hopeless debilitated state.

Yes it is pretty much a type of delusional thinking. I'm not telling people to think they can make a ball appear out of nowhere. It's more about pushing people into a more positive state to see if they can turn their life around before giving up. Most of his teachings is of that. I know it's going to be a hard "sell" (everything is free on the reddit unless u feel the need to buy his physical book. His digital book is free on the reddit), but if it can even help one person changed their course of life idc how this thread is perceived.
A lot about life is still unknown and science can never really tell us much about consciousness and life itself. I suggest looking at the success tag on the reddit and see if it resonates with you. There are tons of stories by real people but then again, they could be made up.

short summary is that we ourselves are the ones that dictate how our reality looks like. We can decide what happens as long as we believe in ourselves. That's the short takeaway. He has a ladder test I suggest you look at, stories are just stories, but the ladder test will make you a believer

I am not trying to push any religion. His teachings and methods are not really pushing any religion. He does speaks about God a lot, but that God is you. If we are already here in this forum, we already reached a certain point in life where I think a certain amount of open-mindedness isn't that bad. Especially if it can help us mentally. Again it doesn't tell you to pray, sacrifice or do anything religious. Please atleast look at the success stories. Life is a strange, I know I'd get a lot of backlash, but idc. What do I have to lose, I don't even gain anything from this. I just hope it'd help someone and maybe one day they can post a success story there. Thanks.

I am very familiar with this movement, researched plenty and even tried it out. acim is probably the most f/u version with a large following.

My conclusion was that it is extremely harmful, as people who experience misfortunes are held responsible for them - so very similar to christianity's punishment (e.g., where disabled people are often seen as sinners who deserved it), here you're just not thinking correctly, haven't learned the lessons, haven't untangled karmic knots and other bs.

Another harmful idea "but that God is you" - people should never be told they create their own realities, many horrible things can suddenly happen with no meaning behind them. "maybe one day they can post a success story there."a success story would be a coincidence, meaning someone was lucky enough to avoid the worst, similar to praying.

"Yes it is pretty much a type of delusional thinking." Our brains are already struggling with all kinds of delusions, socialisations, biases - the goal should be to think as rationally as possible, not find more delusions to try out as they lead us further into the dark.

I understand why this seems interesting to you, but it's not the right path and people who sell it are often disingenuous looking to make money out of desperate people.
