It's not the most precise list, but! I've never seen the air embolism one mentioned - could this be the holy grain of DIY painless suicide? Unfortunately, I have zero medical training.

Now I'm very interested in taking barbiturates, but I can't really find a lot of information about it in my country also it's sadly illegal and kinda hard to obtain over here. So if someone knows how to get my hands on some Barbiturates please let me know. Plus how much do I need to end myself?

I thought the same about hanging too. Asked the AI to elaborate, it says it really depends on a lot of factors if hanging will be peaceful or not and is not the best method if painlessness is a priority.
I've tried partial hanging and can't push through till loss of consciousness, it becomes too uncomfortable and I get scared I guess. But not consciously, just my body chickens out of it. Full suspension will work for me, but I don't want my last moments to be full of agony, panic and regret.

Every evening I wish for an aneurism, or to finally obtain the medical products I need for painless CTB.

The only think I know about the air injection is that I saw someone do this in a TV show and in the show they went through a lot of pain. Obviously not acurate at all but yeah a bit of insite

Yeah I think it's supposed to be painful actually, the AI made a mistake :D but oth still a cheap and a accessible method and they are not banning air soon hopefully at least.

There's a lot to criticise about the list. For example, modern sleeping pills are virtually impossible to CTB with. Also, there's many variables to consider before declaring any particular method as reliable or unreliable.

To blow your head away with a shotgun is the most painless and realible method from my point of view. The brain is still alive during the process of dying with all other methods. Even if you are unconscious you cannot be shure that you are not in something like a dream state. NDE´s can give no clarification, because the persones concerned did not die.

So just to let u know, I had a long conversation with AI abou the painlessness of hanging, and it really thinks that it can be both. Depends on method. No directions on how to do it properly, because it unsurprisingly violates it's content policy.

Of course AI is just a funny tool, but it analyzed a lot of information to make the most accurate statement possible, so I guess it's possible to perform a painless hanging.

This is an interesting list. But it should also be balanced with accessibility. Hanging is both reliable and accessible and the pain may be short enough in duration to be ranked higher on the list.

Yeah I don't think the ranking/list of methods is really that accurate. Yes, some of which are accurate, but like the firearm method, there are many factors that the AI did not take into consideration, which was caliber, type of firearm (long gun, handgun), where the person was shot (head, heart, through the mouth, under the chin, etc.), and also of course, with botched attempts but person actually dies, doesn't die from the gunshot itself, but through a secondary cause, such as blood loss, shock, or trauma.
