I suppose if you have a Hickman line and inject large amounts of air into that you might be gone fast but getting the Bends (decompression sickness) when diving is exceptionally painful so I can't imagine it's particularly comfortable. It depends if it manages to cause a large enough embolus.

But the venous system and the arterial system are separate so you'd either aim to explode Your Lungs veinously or Your brain arterially. Doesn't sound a painless and reliable Method to me. As someone who has experienced PE's, DVTs and arterial embolisms I can assure you they are not painless.

I also had a bubble echocardiogram where they purposefully inject small air bubbles into veins to see flow and any abnormalities through the heart so I am now baffled how additional air will cause issues as I lived through that medical procedure. In the bends it's gasses in your blood and body that form bubbles.
