People are addicted. They are addicted to movies, videogames, pills, illegal drugs, legal drugs, sugar, salt, fast food, slow food, restaurants, cars....etc

They are all just like drug addicts. A society of doped-up-weak-willed druggies. No different then the crackhead down the streetcorner. In a suit and tie, in a janitor uniform, naked....it's no different.

Everything people eat is full of fat, oil, sugar, salt and who knows what else. But they love it. They gain pleasure from it. For a moment their anxiety and stress goes away and is filled by a fuzzy warm feeling on the inside. Then they crave it more and more. Of course they do, since almost everything in a supermarket is designed specifically to make you buy and consume more and more so the companies' owners profit more and more.

It's not just food either. It's movies, videogames, masturbation, sex, books and the list goes on and on....

Momentary pleasures that make it all go away, for a moment. They promise everything is alright. People become dependant on them so much so that they don't care whether it is harmful to them or anyone else.

Of course, when your life is miserable you look for a way to cope. Escapism. It doesn't matter if it is weed or a coke and fries. It's all the same. But despite all this people still hate their lives, hate themselves...and deep down they know it, but choose to ignore it and live the lies because it hurts less, the truth is too painful.

These people would not be able to live had their precious drugs be taken away from them.

But what when these things don't grant you any satisfaction? What happens then? When you are free from distractions. Is it easier to peek past the lies and ignorance? Is that when you see how bad life really is and become suicidal?? Well, for some it is...

Life is not objectively worth living. There is no hope. Forget hope. At the end of the day, we all really do what we want. None of it matters.

People are enslaved to Darwinism, no matter what they do to escape it.

Even those among us who deem to be 'spiritual', whatever this word means, at the end of their day want just reassurance about their 'worth' in the universe by finding equilibrium and an overall sense of peace.

And this is 100% related to ego-preservation.

Is this worth living? Each of us should decide

Now there's a term I haven't heard before.

But what when these things don't grant you any satisfaction? What happens then? When you are free from distractions. Is it easier to peek past the lies and ignorance? Is that when you see how bad life really is and become suicidal?? Well, for some it is...

I've had people literally utter these words to me in total seriousness:
"ignorance is bliss"
"I'd rather not know what's coming"

and similar sentiment.

By the way what do you do on a day-to-day basis?

It's all ways to avoid confronting the existential terror of existence itself. Addictions/delusions are the best way to accomplish this. Although the decadence of the modern era makes it much more prevalent/noticeable, people have always done this throughout the whole of our history as a species. We're a horribly unevolved creature chained to our primitive & crude biology. It's a grim fate with no real answer. Best thing would be for humans to just die out, which, fortunately, we're doing a great job of assuring.

The whole of living that we see before our eyes today is from inmost to outmost enmeshed in repressional mechanisms, social and individual; they can be traced right into the tritest formulas of everyday life. Though they take a vast and multifarious variety of forms, it seems legitimate to at least identify four major kinds, naturally occurring in every possible combination: isolation, anchoring, distraction and sublimation.

A very popular mode of protection is distraction. One limits attention to the critical bounds by constantly enthralling it with impressions. This is typical even in childhood; without distraction, the child is also insufferable to itself. "Mom, what am I to do." A little English girl visiting her Norwegian aunts came inside from her room, saying: "What happens now?" The nurses attain virtuosity: Look, a doggie! Watch, they are painting the palace! The phenomenon is too familiar to require any further demonstration. Distraction is, for example, the 'high society's' tactic for living. It can be likened to a flying machine – made of heavy material, but embodying a principle that keeps it airborne whenever applying. It must always be in motion, as air only carries it fleetingly. The pilot may grow drowsy and comfortable out of habit, but the crisis is acute as soon as the engine flunks. The tactic is often fully conscious. Despair may dwell right underneath and break through in gushes, in a sudden sobbing. When all distractive options are expended, spleen sets in, ranging from mild indifference to fatal depression.

When a human being takes his life in depression, this is a natural death of spiritual causes. The modern barbarity of 'saving' the suicidal is based on a hair raising misapprehension of the nature of existence.

The universe is messed up, planet earth is messed up, and people are messed up and you can't do anything about it. You can either commit quick suicide or be like everyone else and commit slow suicide by fulfilling the lusts of the flesh until your body can't take it anymore.

Either commit physical suicide and go through the pain or commit spiritual suicide like everyone else

And avoid the absolute system we live in forever to suck the dick of the GODS that own us. So much potential....could've been different but these fucks chose this life.
