germany can either be really good or really bad . Have you forgotten that game with spain 6-0 in the nations league. they might not be as big of bottlers as england but they still can bottle if the stars are aligned just right. of course it looks more favorable for germany(especially now) but england has some players that can pose as threats. southgate just doesn't use his team to the best of their capability.

But If this was 2014 germany then yeah, everyone would be getting obliterated in this tournament by them.

I still don't get how they lost against Wales in 2016. They could have made it to the finals and possibly win like Portugal did.

Well that was bleak and will shatter our confidence. If stones hadn't hit the post we would have gone on to win 2 or 3 nil as Scotland would have had too attack more and leave gaps at the back. Our fast pace would have exploited the gaps. However we didn't and fair play to Scotland got there tactics bang on. We only seamed too pass sideways and backwards. Need to drop Rice now for attack minded midfielder. Don't need 2 holding midfield players. It's too negative and shows why we've only had 3 shots on target in 2 games. Football can soon change and a win against the Czechs and last 16 victory and everyone will be saying we're gonna win it again. Somethings got too change though as confidence will be low after a 0 0 draw at home too the 22nd ranked team in the tournament.

I like the way Belgium plays out of all the european teams.

Honestly this looks like Belgium's last chance to win anything in a big tournament. The golden generation are starting to deplete. Kompany ,Fellaini, and dembele are gone. Jan,Toby, and dries are aging. And real madrid might further turn hazard into shite (should have never left chelsea). lukaku and debruyne are clearly in their prime atm so its best not to waste them.

Belgium were even impressive before euro 2016. Hadn't been to a world cup since 2002 and managed to make it to quarter finals (losing to Argentina) in 2014 world cup.

I thought belgium vs france was the real final of the 2018 world cup. france vs crotia was pretty underwhelming given that croatia were at a disadvantage by having to play extra time all those games.
