• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think this is my first real vent? I feel silly writing this, but I need to talk about this.

Can someone tell me why the fuck women tear each other down so much?? No matter where I go, there's always some batshit insane lady who sees me and thinks "she looks like a prime target for my pathetic attempts to elevate myself!"

I switched jobs often and almost every single time it's because of that. For context, I stock up shelves.

Case one: Woman in her 50s. The moment I walked in, she rams my shopping cart away, tells me to pick up the smallest crumbs off the floor (???) and says I should work elsewhere. I told my boss, who then (thankfully!) yelled at my co worker. I had my peace until I quit. But that's been the only good ending.

Case two: I worked in a CROWDED dollar store. Not only did we have more customers than we could handle, many of them were also thieves and vandals. Yes, I'm being serious. One day, when I was at the cash register, handling a HUGE line of customers, someone apparently took a water bottle to the back of the store, which is prohibited. I obviously didn't see that in the SEA OF HUMANS demanding attention. Most of them also yelled at us for no reason.

Suddenly, an authority figure of mine (also lady in her 50s) storms towards me and yells "WHY DID YOU LET HIM WALK AWAY WITH A PRODUCT?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO YOUR JOB!!" I'm usually a stoic person, but this time I snapped. I yelled back: "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WHEN I HAVE TO JUGGLE ONE MILLION THINGS AT A TIME?? YOU CAN SEE WHAT'S GOING ON, RIGHT??"

Dear members of SaSu, I think the moment these people fuck around and find out a wallflower can be a rose with thorns, something inside of them fills them with *disgust*

She grabbed my arm, trying to keep me in place, screaming: "NOBODY LIKES YOU HERE, YOU ARE SUCH A BAD WORKER, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF"

I yanked my arm away, screaming at her to not touch me and I walked away. But she followed me and got creative with her insults. That was the final straw.

Case three: My new boss, who's (yep, you guessed it) a lady in her 50s, welcomes me and explains how everything works. At the end, she says: "Let me know if you need anything else explained." I thanked her and said: "I might need another explaination again soon. That was a lot of information." Apprently, what she said is secret code for "don't bother me again". She began belittling and infantilizing me from that day forward. When I quit, she said: "I would have kicked you out anyway. You never pay attention." Good riddance for both of us, I guess.

Case four: my current job. My first co-worker was a woman in her fif- no, actually, 22 this time. She was super nice, helping me a lot, being really sweet, even saying "You're really cool, I hope you'll get to stay!" Of course she dropped her mask. One year later, she suddenly changed. Gossiped about co-workers, declaring herself boss, becoming friends with the boss, bossing people around. But worst of all: she screams through the entire store how much she dislikes certain co-workers, including me. Or screams about teeny tiny mistakes we make and, oh, how dare we?? Everytime I cross paths with her I have to pray that she won't let it out on me this time.

Thankfully, I once again have a kind boss, who is really supportive regarding my mental health. Though he's friends with her, I sent him a detailed email, explaining the situation and asking him to have a serious talk with her. I'm now waiting for a reply.

I don't have the energy for this shit anymore. I just wanna do my work in peace. But I can't even have that.

And before anyone asks "are you neurodivergent?" No. Valid question, but I'm not. I'm just a woman who refuses to smile, only talks when necessary and speaks her mind. That alone pisses people off. Yay.

Omg, I feel so bad for you. Don't let it get to you. They definitely hate themselves and project it onto everyone else

I get you, but you gotta put on a mask, especially in the customer service industry. I work in IT myself and I do the same thing, although I'm not in a customer facing environment.

I have noticed that if you are aloof and don't talk to people much, they will assume that you don't like them and will hate you in return. Speaking from experience. That being said , lot of these people definitely seem to be on power trips.

Still, unless you're your own boss, you gotta play the game.

I know. Well said.

But I refuse. And I'll keep being myself until the bitter end.

I'm not yet 50, but I admonish you.

😆

Honestly, if you can be yourself regardless of the consequences, that puts you in an elite category. Hats off to you.

Haha, I've lived my whole life like this. I'm fine. And thanks.
