We live in a world where every joy is commoditized, every space is an opportunity to earn, and the focus should be the relentless pursuit of earning and profit.

The system creates itself; if you don't earn and work you starve and die; if you earn you have to use the others around you for that earning. It's truly a futile circular life.

With the amonut of greed in the world, I don't see that happening. A worrying amount of rich people just want more and more, it's ridiculous, they will find a way to not let that happen.

Man that hits hard. Every time I've ever had a business idea or some major goal, would always have the thought "who am I going to have to exploit to achieve this?"

Really kills motivation.

Society is set up as a carrot on the stick model, in order to keep us chasing after our goals, and uses throwing crumbs at us to keep us marching forward in the hope that we may obtain some material that we must work, and be productive in order to obtain the necessary currency to be used to actually purchase said item.

Capitalism is the system of using the accumulation of capital as an incentive to be productive, the more you work the more capital you accumulate the more worthless hedonistic materials you can obtain, in order to distract your self from your rather depressing life, it's called consumerism for a reason. if you were to be handed your desires then what reason would you have to work, if you could just have the carrot then why would you ever go were they want you to. if there was no structure to society then how would the impose there value upon you.

Every time I think I'm getting better mentally I think about the fact that I have to live in a capitalistic society, for the rest of my life.
AI should be there to make our lives easier, but we've seen how many multipliers in productivity with just computers? The internet? And everyone is expected to put in 40 hours. AI isn't here to save us, it's making art, writing crappy books, and programming.

Those at the top don't look for ways to make life better for everyone, only how to consolidate more and more wealth, damned be the homeless and the starving. This is IRL monopoly.
