Probably because young people use the Internet way more often then middle aged and eldery people. On the same side, we know how to navigate and find sources like SS relating to suicide easier.

Many middle aged and eldery people dont know how how to use the internet ,social media and electronic devices beyond only basic skills. (ie: turning on devices, using search engine amd nothing more beyond that)

Because humanity is reaching the end point of evolution, thus younger generations becoming more suicidal, there seems nothing to fight for anymore, we're too aware and focused on ourselves. Because everything is right in front of us, we don't gotta struggle anymore for our basic needs, giving us way too much time that goes wasted. It makes us weaker and softer. That's why most of us are from US and EU and from countries with good economic stability.

I should mention the fact that mental illnesses always existed, but never did we went deeply into the details like today. The governments have taken advantage of that, making us suffer even more and keep us trapped here. The "help" services and pharmacies are all playing along with them. Gaslighting is extremely hard on this one.

I'm 61 and fairly tech literate. Partly it's about comfort in disclosing online (I still have problems with this), and partly it's that older individuals have more defense mechanisms against admitting how suicidal they are. I know this has been very difficult for me to admit, even to myself

It depends on what you mean by young, but older people are generally not as good with computers as a result of not growing up with them, so I would say the average age here is a result of that.

i think life is most difficult when you turn into a adult at 18 to finding a source of income to support yourself to working shitty jobs with shiity pay, also dealing with relationship or more so relationship breakups, your body is full of hormones, lack of money is know to cause depression so are relationship breakups, dealing with anxiety life just a shit show most likely if your life starts off shit it will stay shit, it's know as the shit life syndrome

There are a lot of older people here. But I think it's because it's more common for the younger generation to have more knowledge about mental health and stuff like that. So they understand themselves more ig? A lot of older people are also more pro-life.
