Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Ok, your life sucks ass. But back to, I still ponder why 300 million shitty suck-ass lives in the usa (you did not corner the market on shit lives) and "only" 50,000 kill themselves. I kind of doubt the 50K are the only ones that figured out this game is rigged.
I think personally it is a decent amount too do with genetics. Some people just have that reaction too ctb when life gets tough. I know its true in my family mental illness is common and even a few suicides. In fact a few months back my mum suggested the idea of getting in the car and ctb'ng together when she was having a deppressive episode.

Maybe it is genetics or a pre disposistion to it . . .
Just how dense are you? Lead or osmium? It's called hope most have some and a few of us have none so we don't play the game you so cleverly helped rig.
I am done with you. Clearly your lot in life is worse than anyone on this board. Godspeed

Don't worry about me; try to focus on you, and if there is just the slimmest path forward, try it. And maybe there isn't, but look hard.

I'll probably stop debating here in a bit. Maybe if someone on the fence reads all this thread, they might at least stop and ponder it. Maybe it helps them, maybe not.

Clearly my answers will never be found.

thanks

Why? I just answered your question. The reason so few people kill themselves despite having shit lives. It's because most people have hope (no matter how small) that their life can improve and a small minority don't. Not a difficult concept. You said a lot of silly stuff with your full chest and received push back and now your done. Need I remind you that YOU CAME TO US! You came into our house and laid a big shit right in the living room. Its good your done because it stinks in here.
Clearly your lot in life is worse than anyone on this board
It's not you mean old git. Don't think I don't recognize an insult when I see one. Most have it worse than me and some have it better. The difference is in the ability to cope. This is just you getting into the kitchen and complaining its too hot.
Ew. Gross. You don't mean that. You came here trying to stop our journey not to wish us well on our path to destruction. It's insincere non well meaning people like you that really make living in this country hell. If you really wanted to help suicidal young people you would be volunteering for 988 or alike not posting on here all holier than thou. Perhaps you are confused on meaning of the word "Sanctioned"?

🥹❤Jim, I'm so sorry for the loss you've gone through. It hurt to read your words. I can feel how deep your grief is, along with the self‑blame and guilt from your son leaving without warning.

I'm in my early twenties. I know people our age may have a limited view of the world, but that doesn't mean our thoughts are automatically shallow or unreasonable.

Many of us struggle inside for a very long time. We are well aware how deeply our leaving would wound the people we love, and we carry heavy guilt over that. This is not about wanting to get back at anyone, to punish others, or to intentionally cause pain. For some people, even after long‑term treatment, there is no real improvement — simply staying alive becomes an unbearable burden.

"Don't kill yourself because it will hurt your family" cannot be treated as an absolute rule. Even with a supportive family, some people still cannot go on. For others, family itself is where much of their suffering comes from. What family means to each person is shaped by their own lived experience and trauma history; it is very hard to truly understand across different lives.

It means so much that you wish your son had spoken up sooner, so you could have helped. Still, we have to accept that family support is not a cure‑all.

We are coming from very different emotional places. You are someone who has lost a loved one, looking back at a tragedy that already happened. Many of us have stood for a long time right at the edge of that difficult choice. Both sides can easily have blind spots shaped only by their own experiences. There are no easy answers here. This is a deeply grey, complicated space to talk about. It cannot be reduced to "you are too young to know better" or "you should keep living as long as someone loves you."

I don't see this in black‑and‑white terms. I just hope these different realities can be seen.

Well said. Everyone has their reasons, young or old. It just seems to hurt more to see younger people do this. When you get to my old fool status, you see things different. Do not misread this as no young person has deep issues or no valid reason for wanting to kill themselves. I still just think sometimes they don't have a clear picture.

I also don't think you should keep living because someone loves you. I just wish everyone had someone they could talk to that could potentially help them.

I have already been told maybe my kid did it to hurt me. So have it.

I hope you're not talking about me here. If so, all I meant to say is that if it were me doing it, I would want to hurt my own father, not that your son did it to hurt you. If I mistyped I am sorry for that too.

I see where you're coming from. When we say "you can't see what the future holds", that does not mean your present pain isn't real. No one can know in advance what lies ahead: there might be moments of relief, or only new wounds.
People who survive can look back and say "just hold on", but that is hindsight. It cannot be treated as a sure prediction. Whether to gamble on those unknown possibilities is, in the end, a choice only the person in the boat can make. I understand what keeps hurting you. It is not the choice itself. It is that someone has closed the door on all the stories that never got to happen, and we are left standing on the shore, never getting to see how they would have ended.
