I dunno. I think the dark, horror-y stuff is simply more aesthetically pleasing.
I prefer old, black and white movies over the plastic, action packed garbage of today. I like paintings that are considered "disturbing" and I think toads are cuter than puppies.

My avatar is a character from American Horror Story called Shachath (aka The Angel of Death) played by Frances Conroy. Although she may look scary, I always found her character so gentle and comforting, and the music that plays in her presence is eerily calming.
