I strongly identify as a klingon, from the perspective of how they look forward to death. To become one of the honoured dead. That death should be celebrated. And that it's best shared.

I'm a fucking pussy though I probably wouldn't be a very honourable klingon. I'd avoid battle at every opportunity. I shun pain. But I'll tell you what I'd be up for death at the drop of a hat.

Star trek is great. I'd quite like to live in a future with no money. Where life is just about bettering yourself and humanity. Where people have respect for each other and are accepting of others' beliefs. If I said I identified as a klingon, I'd be respected. I'd be allowed to die with dignity, support and love. Not trapped in a life of suffering by arrogant, willful assholes imposing their views on me when it's none of their fucking business

Languages in general are pretty fascinating.

So, I'm aware of the different terms for CTB. Cease to breathe, catch the bus, etc. But I was unaware of the term "close the book" until I saw someone on here say it, and I immediately was intrigued.

Catch the bus seems to be the most common iteration, but for me, it doesn't fit. Buses go somewhere. Buses travel. Even when you "take the bus out of town," it will travel.. somewhere.

I don't want to think about where I'd go after death, at least not now, and especially not in my darkest moments. For me, CTB (if I'd ever do it) would be an end, not a new beginning. I want the pain to end, simple as that, close the book, done.

Oh, and when I was younger I liked the movie Book Of Life. That was an afterthought.
