I've always wanted to lucid dream and have been training myself to do so recently, because I've always enjoyed the peace that sleep brings, that entranced state where you can lay blissfully without life's worries. My dreams usually are bits and pieces, so I've only lucid dreamed a handful of times, but they are some of the most memorable and enjoyable moments I've experienced. Eating smores at a campfire in a small clearing on a ridge next to a formidable grove of pine trees in the wilderness by myself on a cold, damp mid-autumn day; sitting on a wispy cloud in a daze looking beneath at the patchwork that makes up the countryside. My lucid dreams are more limited to scenic views rather than being able to control whole narratives but I'm glad that I can exist in such a blissful state temporarily while having to deal with the real world. It's one of the few things I can look forward to besides my inevitable death.
