Had an opportunity to work with the CIA which I passed up due to low self-esteem and no motivation. I was in the Army for 6 years and had to leave due to health issues. now I aint shit lol

I always was successful in my career/work pursuits, but allowing my depression and avoidant and personality disorder to kill my social life has had the biggest impact. So I guess I would probably be some form of happy in that sense without those issues.

I'd be pretty much who I am except instead of alone and adrift I'd be living in a house in the mountains with my soul mate. By day we'd ski and mountain bike and at night we'd sip Bailey's in the hot tub and watch the stars.

I wanted to be a linguist and journalist, and to move out of the US and find somewhere beautiful and safe to live with my wife. I've always loved language and I really wanted to study how culture and language influence each other. I wish I could have studied abroad.

I learned in a paper Mill when I was 16 and if everithing went another direction I probably still would work there. Had a pretty good income, about 5000 Euro a month but the shiftsystem made me sicker then I was before and never recovered from that. Now im studying wich is also sometimes difficult for other reasons.

I would have become IT engineer with something to do with interfaces between the hardware and software. Few years back I also became interested in having some short of spruce tree farm too to bring joy to people by farming christmas trees for them. Living/having vacational cottage/house somewhere in semi-rural was also a part of that dream. I've also been interested in music and producing a song(s). I've also adored the philosophy more and more. But because of my current miserable state with my brain and mental/physical condition and my bad life choices in the past that all seems unachievable...

Probably would've gotten involved in governance/politics somehow. I've been a political junkie since I was like 11 and up until recently it was the only interest that never faded regardless of my mental health. (Now things have gotten so bad that I can't even bring myself to care about that anymore). Not to say that I would have ever actually run as a candidate, but I could've worked behind the scenes in some capacity. Though with my compsci degree it might have proven difficult to get my foot in the door...

Maybe I could have gotten into animation or some other way of producing cartoons but honestly the industry is way too competitive and I just don't have the skills to make anything viable.

Maybe a writer as well but I also procrastinate way too much.

When I was a kid I put down singer, teacher, and baker ?It just looked fun and whimsy. I was a kid!) for my occupations. Turns out I have no interest in baking as an adult, or wearing the big hat and uniform, I just like baking shows so I get the fun, without aggravating the f**k out of my ocd. Still would've wanted to be a singer... (and turns out raapper) but, alas, I have lethal stage fright (Bombed my judges round on American Idol 12yrs ago.) Never told anyone but wanted to be an actor. (Be heavily involved in my own makeup, hair, and wardrobe choices.) Also a playwright, tv shows and movies, not so much theater. Possible pianist?Wanted to be a bitchin' cheer coach in high school. Had to give it up for choir and debate. Still would've wanted to teach, probably 5th-8th somewhere. Would've been the most "lit" and "happenin'" teacher smh... Would've like to have been the most fabulous Aunt ever Would've definitely liked to have a doctorate in psychology and another social science. Not sure which and what for though. Maybe politics as there are so many laws that need to be revamped, added, abolished... Would've definitely wanted to be an author of non-fiction teachings. Possible fiction book. Would've loved to have been a daughter, granddaughter and animal mom to be proud of,... At the very least been some of best sex and be the best girlfriend to some guys. Ah pipe dreams.... Aren't they a swell feat? Gotta love a good delusion, illusion, mirage, what, ev, er...

And no sunlight fior me. Don't know if it's the depression, a tumor, lack of light, medications, but now any light actually hurts. Be curious to know if light sensitivity is common in the clinically depressed, and what other common symptoms come from this cancer of the mind.

Due to my physical, mental, health, genetics, childhood problems I have been turned into a little guy, weak will, bad vision, bad fitness, a skin condition,

literally just weak in everything except my brain is just average that's the only thing normal I have, shitty and socially stupid.

I would have loved to join the military and go into the that division that creates or researches stuff. Or maybe the logistics cause it so important in wars.

Probably wanted to enter something that will improve my mentality and body, cause in the military they treat you like shit and make you go through shit. But they know you can go through it so you become stronger and shit.

Archeologist, as a kid i was really interested in paleontology and dinosaurs, which turned into a lifelong love of history.
but i've just been in survival mode for most of my life since then because of the abuse, i don't have the patience for anything anymore.
so i became a cook, and then a chef, because cooking is the only thing i'm good at, i hate my job.

I would've probably become an artist/musician with some major clout. I almost made it. like 99%. Health issues took away that last 1% so I never made it to 100. Well maybe that is how it's supposed to be for me. It sucks.

Probably would already kill myself because of family expenses and mortgage because of too much financial stress. I can't imagine a scenario when everything would go well. Life is the problem, not the role we play in it.
