Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The only two which are accessible to me in my situation are jumping and shallow water blackout. I was previously set on jumping from Beachy Head but then I found out about shallow water blackout while browsing through this site. It seems more peaceful if done right, and apparently I could do it in my bathtub so it would be easy to do. I suppose I would have to practise making myself pass out first. On the other hand jumping seems more reliable, the height at Beachy Head is more than enough and death is certain. With shallow water blackout I'm not sure of the chances of survival or if anything could go wrong.

The effectiveness of SWB highly depends on your ability to hyperventilate yourself. You need to be able to naturally recreate the senario that causes this to happen to unsuspecting people. If you blackout underwater, and nobody is there to rescue you within 5 mins, death is all but certain.

One of the benefits of SWB, is a failed attempt from unable to achieve a blackout is harmless. You just have to resurface because you're out of breath. The blackout should kick in while your holding your breath, not when you run out of it. Be careful you are alone, while you need about 30mins of privacy when hanging, you only need 5-10 with SWB. If you are rescued after you blackout underwater, you run the same risks as hanging.

I wouldnt entertain SWB unless you are able to get your body to the required depletion. I've read some users have little difficulty, and some can't make it happen at all. See how much you can hyperventilate yourself.

I'd jump if I had access to something high enough.

Thank you for the information! How long would I have to hyperventilate?

No problem. You'll have to discover that on your own. Takes me about 5-7 mins of hyperventilating to get near a blackout, but it really depends on you. If you're hyperventilating for like, 30mins or something, and you can't feel it, I would maybe choose another method.

Thanks :) I'll definitely consider using this method if I'm able to pass out.
