i want to do it either in july or january. july because it's convenient, and january because winter is my favorite season. i haven't decided on a specific date yet, but i want to do it near the end of the month.

I wish I was able to postpone another year-and-a-half so I can CTB just before 30. It'd be nice to experience your 20's and CTB before you become "old"

tbh, I don't even consider 30-year-olds "old," I don't think you're that until 40. 40 is when you're old proper.

Well, I considered 30 old when I turned 30. Now I am 37 and fearing 40. I long for the days when I was young but thought I was old, just as I long for the days I was thin and thought I was fat.

I want to ctb the day my father dies to spare him the pain, but honestly it'll likely be much sooner.

Same here with my parents, but circumstances happened, so it will be sooner.

I haven't thought about the day. But I would like to do it during the coming winter season. Will avoid Christmas time though, latest early november, or I will wait until february/early march.

I have no set day. If the circumstances, conditions, and timing is right, then it could be any day. I generally would avoid an important holiday, like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Years Day, etc. or even milestone days (birthdays, anniversaries, and what not), but of course, that doesn't stop me from CTB'ing if the circumstances check out.

Hello peeps, here comes the newbie.

10 November. It's the 28th anniversary of my Mum's cousin. It may sound odd but it's because she was someone that I only met when I was six not long before my Mum died, and would have liked to have met again when I was growing up.

I thought about the 40th anniversary of my Mum's death last year, just as I did the 30th one before that, but thought it would be too hard on my Dad, as while I resent him, I don't resent him enough to make a sad anniversary even worse. Plus my birthday later in the month would become even more poignant, like the day of the month my Dad married my Mum, which was the one he buried her on ten years later. I hate burials, graves and headstones just open old wounds - I want to be cremated and my ashes scattered in the sea.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

I don't really care about the number so long as it is within (1-9) or (20-29). I think Sunday is the most ideal day for CTB.
