For me each TV show I love is a world I step into as mine falls away. Does anyone else here feel the same/that strongly?
For the past few years my mental health has plummeted to new lows I hadn't thought possible.
For over a decade TV has been a great solace and probably would be dead x1000 if it wasnt for the escape and/or inspiration from shows just when I needed them most.
Basically a shut in at this point with the clock ticking.
American Dad was a great one to watch mindlessly but Ive seen all the episodes too many times to rewatch anymore
1899 is wonderfully transfixing, as was the OA.
What shows do you like?

My favourite shows ever are :

1. Breaking bad.
2. Dexter.
3. Penny dreadful.

I feel the same way as you : watching TV shows and movies helps me escape this mind - numbingly boring and dreadful existence for a while.
I can't concentrate on reading books anymore or playing video games, so watching shows, movies, documentaries are all I bother with now.
I don't even listen to music much anymore because it tends to remind me of the past and depresses me even more than I already am.

If you are open for Animes i can wholeheartedly recommend a show called Clannad.

It's made up off two seasons and absolutely beautiful, but be warned, Clannad is the saddest anime me and my friends have ever watched.
So you definitly gotta be in the mood for it.

It has been years and the soundtrack still gives me goosebumps.

I liked Twin Peaks, Penny Dreadful, Bojack horseman, Wednesday on Netflix. Last thing I watched was Pokemon Horizons.

i don't think any of my favorites are objectively the best, but i really enjoy/enjoyed community, succession, the new scott pilgrim show, invincible, and the boys if i had to recall from recent memory. shows often serve as a sort of "background noise" for me when i do other tasks, such as general housekeeping or sketching.

hard decision but recently I have remembered how much I loved the show Charlie and Lola growing up

so I will say that at this moment this is the best show I've ever watched

I always loved the mixed media in the animation and the intro

I'd say my top three are Mad Men, Succession, and Better Call Saul.

In no particular order:

Deadwood

Twin Peaks

Queer as Folk (Original US production, not that new thing that came out a couple of years ago or the original UK production)
