It is a beautiful song. I think it explains the ambivalence of suicide quite well, not quite wanting to stay but not quite wanting to let go, the scene it plays in with all the hopelessness and despair that you see with little way out just emphasizes it all. But sometimes there is no way out, sometimes we just find ourselves at the ledge that David Foster Wallace talks about, as the flames keep getting closer and our decision is to either end it on our own terms or let the fire take us with all the pain that entails. Could we survive the fire? Maybe, but living just for the sake of it when your quality of life is to the point that you start considering suicide as an option isn't ideal.Wasteland from the Arcane soundtrack. It's a beautiful song.
i'm extremely sorry to hear that. are you sure that is the method you want? it sounds very painful.I've got about an hour drive to the location where I will ctb and have put together a playlist of songs that I love and bring me joy to dance/sing to called 'The Final Drive'
Honestly it's a complete mix but includes things like 'Undercover Agents" (Enter Shikari), 'Everybody' (Don Broco), 'Shake your Groove Thing' (Peaches&Herb) and even a couple of musical numbers- 'Right Track" (Pippin) and 'Hard to be the Bard' (Something Rotten).
Unfortunately I won't be able to listen as I ctb as I'll be going out to sea, but I think I will put togethet another playlist to listen to to calm my nerves as I sit on the beach before I go![]()
I will be taking an OD beforehand and, in all honestly, hope I will seize/blackout from that and not be conscious when I pass (I do know it's not certain and I'm okay with that).i'm extremely sorry to hear that. are you sure that is the method you want? it sounds very painful.
May you find him in Paradise.Beautiful Boy. Its a tiny bit cliche, but its a beautiful song, and I only got to sing it to my son once before he slipped away. I hope the beyond is treating him better than this world treated me, and will treat me the same.
