Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

up tonight thinking about what i've gone through and the sort of life i live now / my future. i feel as if i've lived a pretty rough life, bad childhood, sexual abuse, solitude, etc etc there's worse stuff. but regardless i feel as if there's some pretty objectively privileged people who are just as depressed as me. they have a right to those feelings it just makes me curious what percent of people are the way they are due to hardship and what percent were just sort of predestined to be that way. i think what im trying to say is, if you have a decent life how do you develop such a painful idea of the world? maybe i'm over complicating what can be summed up as "mental illness". i feel a mix of both, i think i still would've been unhappy had these things not occurred but it sure would've changed my worldview. does anybody in the same boat as me feel similarly?hope this post doesn't come across as demeaning i don't wanna downplay anyone's mental state. share your thoughts if you feel you relate to either aspect of my post!

I feel like it is a mix for me too, but more so in my head. While I have experienced abuse, compared to many people, I live a better life. I think for me, some genetics plays in from mental illness that just causes me to perceive life as worse than it is, and the mental illness blocks me from living my life to its fullest.

anyone can be affected by anything, even small things. trauma is traumatic no matter how big or small, although youre more likely to be more miserable with "bigger" trauma. we can only see the world how we see it, so something bad might affect someone more than another. either way theres alot of bad in this world and im sure everyone has a bad thought now and again, even if they are a nepo baby... we arent in a perfect world where some people experience no "suffering".

people tolerate different things, you deserve to feel one way or another without labeling yourself weak

Just wanting some peace

For me existence itself is the problem, I don't see how there could ever be anything decent about existing no matter what rather to me existence is a mistake and I wish I never existed more than anything, simply just existing is enough to make me wish for peace and the peace of non-existence is just all I could ever see as positive and desirable. All I want is to cease existing, I'd just never wish to suffer in this torturous, futile existence no matter what, this existence never should had been imposed in the first place, it's so terrible how humans cause others to be tortured by forcing them into this existence.

I think it's mostly all in my head. I just can't help and have resigned myself. Sure, I don't have a happy childhood-adulthood, but compared to other people, I think I'm very lucky and priviledged back then and right now. I just haven't been happy for some time now, and I can't let myelf happy. I keep thinking about my actions, my voice, and other's opinion 24/7. I recluse myself, I can't stop it!!

i think what im trying to say is, if you have a decent life how do you develop such a painful idea of the world?
Helicopter+asian parenting and the fact that I couldn't stand up for myself. I find myself having a similar trait to adult children syndrome, but then again maybe I'm just neurodivirgent. With all that, what's killing me right now is loneliness. Not just about being lonely though, I just couldn't make myself care about myself and others. It feels like I have a frequency that nobody gets and I couldn't decipher frequencies other than mine.

Just because people grew up privileged does not mean that they grew up well. Rich people can be abused, neglected, and experience trauma just like anyone else. It might just not be as obvious.

I grew up in the textbook middle-class family. I had parents that supposedly loved me. I grew up never really having to worry about money. Yet here I am. I have a host of mental problems thanks to the way I was raised and have now found myself in an abusive relationship. You never know what is going on behind the scenes of someone's life.
