• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

up tonight thinking about what i've gone through and the sort of life i live now / my future. i feel as if i've lived a pretty rough life, bad childhood, sexual abuse, solitude, etc etc there's worse stuff. but regardless i feel as if there's some pretty objectively privileged people who are just as depressed as me. they have a right to those feelings it just makes me curious what percent of people are the way they are due to hardship and what percent were just sort of predestined to be that way. i think what im trying to say is, if you have a decent life how do you develop such a painful idea of the world? maybe i'm over complicating what can be summed up as "mental illness". i feel a mix of both, i think i still would've been unhappy had these things not occurred but it sure would've changed my worldview. does anybody in the same boat as me feel similarly?hope this post doesn't come across as demeaning i don't wanna downplay anyone's mental state. share your thoughts if you feel you relate to either aspect of my post!

I feel like it is a mix for me too, but more so in my head. While I have experienced abuse, compared to many people, I live a better life. I think for me, some genetics plays in from mental illness that just causes me to perceive life as worse than it is, and the mental illness blocks me from living my life to its fullest.

anyone can be affected by anything, even small things. trauma is traumatic no matter how big or small, although youre more likely to be more miserable with "bigger" trauma. we can only see the world how we see it, so something bad might affect someone more than another. either way theres alot of bad in this world and im sure everyone has a bad thought now and again, even if they are a nepo baby... we arent in a perfect world where some people experience no "suffering".

people tolerate different things, you deserve to feel one way or another without labeling yourself weak
