• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Higher in the winter time, with shorter days and colder temperatures. Depending on where you live. (I definitely go through periodic cycle based on this. ā˜¹ļø)

I think it's winter because many people have seasonal depression and it makes dealing with mental illnesses much harder. Also it has something to do with holidays from what I remember. Like seeing happy people enjoying holidays is triggering.

There are studies that say that while depression is most common in the winter, most suicides definitely happen in the spring.

There are various theories for this. On the one hand, it is assumed that it takes a few months for the depression from the winter to culminate in suicide. On the other hand, the difference between the dark inner life and the nature and joy of other people that blossom in spring is more painfully noticeable.

Personally, I only ever had suicide attempts between spring and autumn.

Idk. I don't think that yearly seasons are the main effect why people commit suicide, it may play a role but it's not the major role. Suicide has far deeper roots than yearly seasons.
