I'm wondering if there's anyone else who believes in the afterlife, or that their spirit isn't human, that they'll return to some higher place when they die , and so on

I've seen so many posts about "death is nothingness" that I'm curious to know if there's anyone else that believes in other universes, nonhuman affairs, and so on

N I don't mean Christianity, to be clear, but Christians can say too

Yes I believe in some kind of afterlife.

If you go on Reddit and go to NDE (near death experiences). It lowkey convinced me. Especially if you sort by top posts of all time.

I do believe in a lot of unique spiritual things that Im not sure I could rationally explain why I believe, I just do and have for a long time. I do believe in a cycle reincarnation and in some sort of afterlife after that cycle.

yep! I am indigenous, so our belief system is entirely spiritual. It gives me a sense of comfort believing in certain things surrounding death, after death and suffering.

I believe whatever we are is not connected or dependent on our physical body at all I like to think of it like how our body uses photons seemingly immaterial non physical particles with no mass to sense vision I think we are something like that too something immaterial something beyond the physical that our body uses as its guide or driver seemingly against our own consent

I'm a Christian but I tend to believe that everyone goes to heaven. I totally believe in the afterlife. But I respect the belief that there is nothing after death.

as a Christian, I believe in Heaven and Hell~ :) There's been some polls here and there and while the site's users change every about 3 months or so, it tends to be between 60 and 80% atheist/agnostic~ then, 40-50% of the remaining amount is Christian, and then, some Muslims, Buddhists, etc. too~ :)

I'm not indigenous but coming from a third-world country worshipping ancestry and deities here. Wonder if you guys have concept of hell, or being punished for the sin or whatnot

Not hell so to speak, but i have been told that there is a very dark, negative space that people can end up in if theyve caused immense amounts of suffering onto others while alive. I have also been told that CTB can leave spirits stuck in limbo/a negative space forever, that used to scare me off from CTB as a youth, now Im not sure if I care anymore. lmfao.
Its always great to hear and learn about other cultures beliefs, especially surrounding CTB and the afterlife.

Being stuck in the limbo sounds scary. Yeah, luckily in my spiritual culture there's no mention of suicide being a sin, only when you inflict harms to others. But similar to you, once it gets to a point I would let go of whatever the spirit says and just do it my way

Yes, I do for the most part believe in the afterlife because of the consistencies you hear about with people who have had near death experiences and who have done life between life regressions. There is a small part of me that is skeptical and wonders if everything I believe is actually a lie, but it doesnt make sense for everything to mean nothing. I have also had spiritual experiences that cannot otherwise be explained. I have to believe there is some meaning and purpose

This is what scares me. I dont want to believe that to be true but there is a little gnawing thought at the back of my mind about the "what if?"

What culture are you from? I love hearing about other cultures/religions and their beliefs about this kind of stuff
i just think you go where you want to go/what you believe in
I wonder about this as well becaue although there are some consistencies in NDE accounts, people from different cultures snd religions report different things.

I am a follower of Jesus. I completely reject the Orthodox belief that people who CTB won't attain heaven. Rather, I believe the opposite. I'm sure that many people who CTB are concerned about the world: writers, artists, anonymous heroes, etc. These are people filled with love, yet the world punishes those who try to spread love. If you were to talk to God and explain your reasons to CTB, He will understand you. Maybe not encourage it, but certainly won't punish you for it.

I even believe that many of the saints of our time are people who did CTB, which is something the Orthodox church would never accept. These are individuals whose innocence and purity were too much for the world and people to tolerate, so they became targets of emotional and psychological harm. But God cared for them, and these saints now dwell with Him.

Jesus said, "I say to you, Judas, [...]. You'll do more than all of them, because you'll sacrifice the human who bears me."Gospel of Judas
