• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I plan to ctb soon, but I need some guidance.

For starters, I think I'm going to do it in a hotel, I don't want my roomies to find a body and be left with the trauma; but I wouldn't want a random person to stumble across one either. Then I read a thread of a person who was going to leave a piece of paper that said not to enter the room and call the police. So what I plan to do is that, in a hotel room near me.
By the way, isn't there any kind of fine for family members for doing this in a hotel? I want my family to suffer as little financial damage as possible.
I also don't know whether to leave a letter, I've never been good at writing what I feel. If I write a letter it would be to my parents, because I don't think I've ever had any genuine friendships. My question is, do you think it will be quicker to get over a death if I write a letter to them or is it better not to leave anything?
I am 20 years old and I study at a university, if I die will my family still have to pay my tuition?

I would appreciate it if you could give me some guidance on what to do.

Write down passwords to websites that might be useful for those left, remove any passcode on your phone, stop any automatic payments for bills (phone, cable, rent, utilities).

you can leave a note if you desire, but it probably won't make much of a difference.

It's good you're thinking through all these things ahead of time. Hotel is probably good, it's not uncommon for suicides to occur there, not that they look forward to it but they're sort of trained for it. (Don't leave a note on the outside door, or you could be discovered "too soon" but perhaps if you can do it in the bathroom you could leave a note on the bathroom door.). If you're in the US I don't believe there's any sort of fine (I've heard in Japan relatives are charged to clean up costs for train jumpers). As far as tuition, I'm not certain about that, but if they didn't sign anything then I would think they wouldn't be on the hook for that. As far as leaving notes that's a very personal matter. If you think it might help then I would do it. But for many suicides there are no suicide notes, per se. I hope you find your peace.

Well hotels and motels are very common, don't know if you family will get fined i guess is better you get a cheap place with low reputation because of that, a note is fine if you wanna give one last message i find it good to leave a note because it can give some closure, and somebody founding your body is inevitable you can hope a cop finds it your corpse gonna smell so bad very quickly
