Hello SS,
I was thinking that suicide was not a phenomenon endemic to a certain socio-demographic class in particular but rather affecting all branches of society, ethnicities and economic classes combined (is suicide more recurrent in the lower socio-economic spheres, I don't think so). We've all heard this story of a successful lawyer with a beautiful family and a beautiful house getting his head blown up with a shotgun overnight.
I am curious to know the population of SS: what do you do / used to do in real life? There's no wrong answer

I am unemployed and on disability. But I tried lots of different things. Always part time though. I worked in different shops, worked in a restaurant. Did promotional stuff. Worked in different production places/warehouses. Tried cleaning very briefly. I volunteered at different places when I was recovering from burnouts between jobs. Worked at the post office. And worked in an office environment. I lasted the longest at the office job, two and a half year before I burnt out. I can handle less and less. I can't say I'm proud I tried or anything. I have a lot of bad memories from workplaces and colleagues. I hope I never have to work again. Don't know how I'd be able to handle it.

i work as a program coordinator at an advoacy center for low income seniors.

previously, i've worked as a post office clerk and have been sporadically on disability as my mental illness and ability to function because of it fluctuates.

The only reason I even bother with having a job is so i dont get kicked out. Work is pointless when you dont care about money due to the fact you will ctb soon.
