Me personally, I would hope it's just nothing. Maybe i would want to leave my body and become a soul traveling the galaxy. I am interested to know what other (suicidal) people think of the afterlife. What are your thoughts in general?

I wish there was some confirmed way of knowing if there's an afterlife...or if losing your consciousness one last time then nothingness really is it.

At least if there were an afterlife...maybe I'd find a place in the universe where I'm seen for myself, not at my lowest point and exhausted with having any optimism anymore. Maybe there's a place where I'd be freed from my bullies' torture and finally able to smile, for real, again. I've been thinking about it so much lately out of having given up so maybe wishing for a second chance that an afterlife would give is just wishful thinking.

I hope I can try again.
try again? in this world? no thanks! maybe in an earlier version of earth or a distant future version of earth where everything isn't horrible but I am committing because this world is fucking horrible and it's not my fault, I shouldn't have to live in it. I did everything I could to make it better and that just put me in my place where I am now. fuuuuuck this place. I don't want to "try and fit in" to a world that is so fucking poisonous that you gotta be mentally fucked to be doing well right now, I'm sorry to say. what's the quote? it is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society. yeah, that was written in the 70's... look at where we are now and how the world has progressed. no, no thanks. I tried. I'm happy with my life and what I was able to do. fuck this. I'm over it.

I lost a friend and I miss her very much. I just want to do everything with her again. She was a very good person. I would end up here again, but idc.

I really really really want to be nonexistent. Like, f* it no Heaven, no Hell, no consciousness. Nothing, just like the 13,8 Billion years before i became a thing.

I'm almost certain that reincarnation awaits us after death. But without all this nonsense about karma. Your consciousness will simply reappear in the world one day, just as it once did for all of us in infancy. I can't say I'm comfortable with this option, but it seems much more logical to me than any existing religion or the idea of "nothingness" after death.

Real. I'm actually so damn stressed out when I'm told by my religion that I'll either burn for eternity or just sit in clouds all day talking to angels and god himself. How, in hell and heaven, there are still hierarchies which we must still adhere too. How, even in death, we will never be equal or be at peace because we still have a role as a soul. It's frustrating.

might sound slightly miserable but i hope its just nothing, like how it was before you were born, eternal life sounds terrifying for me, even if its heaven, i dont want to exist as me forever, i want my soul to go to sleep, and my body to be returned to nature, my memory will live on through those i love, then a few generations later ill be forgotten, completely gone, sounds peaceful

If there's an afterlife, I wish it's a place of kindness and compassion. I'm not the greatest person, but I wish the higher being (if there's any) will forgive and understand the choice I made and hopefully I'll be truly free of this suffering without punishment.

If you think about it, "nothingness" is neither good nor bad, since you won't be aware of it. For something to be good or bad, a human perspective is required. And a perspective requires consciousness—yet your consciousness ceases to exist.
To me, the terrifying thing about suicide is that if you succeed, you won't know you succeeded.

I hope its nothing. Simple non-existence. That's all I want. If I have to live on in eternal life (be that in heaven, hell, purgatory, reincarnation, etc) sounds like a genuine nightmare to me. I'd rather continue living this shitty fuck ass life, where I can at least continue hoping for a true end to my consciousness, than to die and have it confirmed my consciousness will live on forever. Fear of an afterlife is a big part of the reason I'm still kicking. I just want nothing. I don't want to exist anymore, in any form.

I'd agree with that if it were not for the constant growing population. There must either be other worlds where souls are migrating from, or it's just not true.

Have you ever searched up 'quantum immortality'?

I personally believe that there is no afterlife, that what we "experience" after we die is just like it was before we ever existed. In my opinion, the whole idea of an "afterlife" was made from the human drive to survive/continue, and from the complete inability to imagine a circumstance where we (the self) doesn't exist.

there are libraries of books on different sciences that each show that there is no afterlife nor reincarnation. nothing supernatural no magic nothing. these especially show the impossibility of a soul or afterlife. put together incontrovertably show there could never a soul, afterlife reincarnation.

1. brain science neuroscience . when the brain dies so does a thinking forever . drugs , no sleep, strokes, brain damage change who the person is and the conscoiusness.

2. evolution : a human descended from other animals and a cell . all life descended from a single cell. how could a human differ from the ancestor which is a cell which is a machine. a human is an animal a machine.

3. molecular cell biology : a human is the same cells as other animals. all cells are basically the same. for example all cells have the same machines DNA, ribosomes , ATP , RNA, genetic code. remove any one these and the cell cannot funtion . a human is just cells, chemical reactions , a machine.

4. physics. law of entropy . quantum field theory .

I strongly believe that there is an afterlife because I had a non-suicidal NDE 7 years ago. I believed in an afterlife even before that. I do believe in God too, but not in the way the churches say. I believe that God is a compassionate loving God who wouldn't send a suffering suicide to burn forever in hell because he/she couldn't endure his/hers suffering.

I always raised catholic, so I grew up believing. There is a heaven, a hell, and a purgatory.

However, I'm not religous. Infact, I'm a closeted gnostic atheist.

Once you die, you die. It all goes black. Any light or figures you see are results of hallucinations.

I what's kind of scared of that idea, when I was still questioning my faith. However, after some thought, I decided that non existence is preferable. Go to hell, you suffer for all eternity and there's no escape. Go to heaven, your sharing space with bigots and hypocrites.
