I have access to both forms, in Immediate release form i have 80 mg tablets, while in the sustained release form i have access to 240 mg tablets. So merely 30 tablets alone would make 7.2 g !, which is very great considering the number of pills.
The dilemma is most medical literature case studies involves SR overdoses rather than IR. And that ALL AI models say that somehow SR overdoses is more lethal than IR overdoses, though this doesnt make much sense to me, as how could a sudden large spike of verapamil be less lethal than a more steady releases of verapamil ?
According to a study:
> Massive verapamil overdose, defined here as ingestion of greater than 8 g, is almost uniformly fatal with few case reports of survivors.

The paper is referring to SR overdoses rather than IR btw.
Another issue here is that SR take significantly more time until the drug peaks fatal outcome happens compared to the IR.
Side note: I plane to co-ingest it with propranolol (immediate release). Which take peak effect around the same time of verapamil IR form.
