• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

does anyone else find it really embarrassing or uncomfortable to like talk to anyone about how you feel?? sometimes, im really not doing well but saying it out loud to someone feels so cringe LOL so i just keep it to myself and suffer by myself

even something as simple as like, are you okay- i could be dying at that moment and id still force myself to say yes 😓

or failed attempts.. thats the worst of it.. it is so embarrassing i have no idea why

but i wouldnt feel like this if someone opened up to me, its only for myself for some reason

It's not embarrassing or cringe, I can't think of a better use for language

It feels incredibly embarrassing to be seen in a vulnerable state. At least you're with like-minded people who probably understand what you're going through.

it feels very uncomfortable and cringe for me to admit how I feel too. Not feeling comfortable putting that much burden on people if i actually admit to it. It makes me seem weak too.

I'm a chronic over sharer sometimes. I only feel embarrassment if someone is awkward about it.

I feel that way too. Everyone around me expects me to be cheerful and outgoing all the time, so there's added pressure to not to. It doesn't help that the few times I've cried or opened up to a therapist they treated me like a freak! I find journaling that helps personally.

I find that kind of small talk in real life so tedious nowadays. I mean, come on, has anyone ever told the truth when asked that question? How are you? I could be feeling like absolute **** and I'll put on my best fake smile, look up and say hey I'm doing good, how about you?

Still got to play the game as long as we're alive I guess. Be social and all that jazz.

This is so relatable, I struggle to open up about my feelings or past traumas because I don't like getting emotional in front of others. I also have pretty bad trust issues

Same here. i just bottle it all up now, even if it's killing me

yeah it can get annoying because when people ask that, theyre not ACTUALLY asking. theyre expecting you to say yes
though i have one person in my life who makes me promise every time i say im okay ?? i guess it shows he cares but i dont know him well so i find it a little odd haha

Yes because with it brings the possibility we will be judged, or not believed or that we have now burdened someone we care about with worry. Sometimes it can feel like unnecessary worry if there's nothing they can do to help us.

I don't think opening up to someone is simple. Even the same person- I've found. Their reaction can also depend upon their mood.

I tried to open up less to people because I sometimes found their responses- although mostly well intentioned- sometimes made me feel worse!

Maybe most of us will start trying to think of practical solutions for one- which makes sense of course. But it may not fully take into account what we feel capable of at that point. So, we may end up feeling more shame or annoyance that we don't even want to take their advice. Then of course- the generic platitude can also feel kind of heartless.

But yeah, it can be a bit of a mindfield. I've overshared in the past too- which has (understandably) caused people to enforce boundaries and I've felt rejection and embarassment as a result.

So yeah- multiple lessons to be wary of sharing or to do so in a less vulnerable mood. I've found that's worked better sometimes. To discuss things calmly when emotions aren't quite so intense. Retrospectively too. Sometimes saying we have struggled is easier than saying we are struggling now.
